I chose Geography as a module during tertiary studies, although I never studied it in high school. I am grateful for the understanding I have gained, and I plan to use this knowledge during my teaching practicals.
I used this in my grade 6 SS class last week, and your explanation is clear! My colleague uses your videos in her grade 7 class. I hope you are somewhere teaching in South Africa! We NEED you!
Hi, thanks for the feedback. I'm teaching in Bangkok, but so want to come back! I taught in SA for ten years before coming here. People can say what they want, you will always want to return to your home country. Anyway, I hope the teaching goes well and that your students do very well in their Geography! 😉
That was Awesome! I finally decided to learn🤔 Coordinates and I came to the right Video! Thanks very much for this. And now onto what the minutes/seconds mean & relate to in your other video👍😉🇨🇦
Thank you! This just helped me clarify the correlation between coordinates on some Engineering Drawings and how they appear in Google Maps! Much appreciated!
Thank you! I’m 60 years old and I guess you’d call me a prepper and a ham radio nerd. Anyway, never too old to learn new things! (Learning from a nice dude with a gorgeous SA accent helps a lot 😉)

I'm glad the video helped. You are using some interesting words there. What's the meaning of 'chaai'? I have an idea by looking at your sentence, but I haven't heard that one before. Anyway, may the studies go well!
Hi there, the best way to explain this would be through a demonstration, but I'll try to do it anyway. If you're using a world map (working with longitude), for example, and you start at the Greenwich meridian(0°), you can only go 180° to the East and to the West respectively = a total of 360°. So you would work it out accordingly. If you work with latitude and you start at the Equator(0°), you can only go 90° to the North and to the South respectively. Here's what you could do if you had a map of the Northern hemisphere, for example. Let's only use longitude to keep it simple. Divide the 90° by 15, which gives you a total of 6. In other words, you would have six horisontal lines with 15° between them. You could also divide 90 by 10, which gives you a total of 9. It all depends how frequently you want to indicate the lines and how big your piece of paper is. I hope this answers your question.
Amazing work there, its not even my field of study and now i understand it since this will help me in a future military career. BTW whats the music at the first 4 seconds playing, ive heard it a long time ago and i cant remember it.
Hi Cameron, I have posted two videos on how to work out minutes and seconds. Just search "mapwork coordinates minutes and seconds" and it should appear on your screen. Mikyla Labuschagne Good question. Here's where you have to improvise: Use your ruler or something to measure with, take a pencil to indicate your own marks/lines and work it out like that. For example, if the dot is somewhere between 30 and 60, indicate in pencil where's 32, 34, 36, 38, etc., depending on how much space you have and how accurate you're required to work. That's how I would do it. Hope it answers your question.
Prime meridian line is north? Haha... say like this right side of prime meridian is east and left side of prime meridian is west .explain like this sir
Hi, I just looked it up. This place is a long way south of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean, not that far from Antarctica. A fun way to look it up is by using google maps. Once, you're in google maps, type your coordinates in the search and it will show you the exact location. I hope this helps!
I always mastered this lesson, would fly a cessna aircraft of Flight Simulator 98 by looking only at the world coordinates. Once I travelled from California to Hawaii by said information.
Now I am after Flight simulator 2020 aircraft flying simulation cabin. Have to build It up soon. I always managed well both at home and geography class upon this subject. Thanks.

How do you include the minute and second is it the same when you do continents with the coordinates of longitude and latitude lines how do you count to make 45° when not on the chart so you have to count from 30° to make 45°? How do you get minute and second
