Love the content. One of the most underrated youtubers I’ve watched. I really enjoy this content as someone heading into college and as someone very into the running lifestyle. Keep it up Asa!
hey just found your yt channel lucky when I ran cross country and track I got no gear cuz in a d3 juco school but good luck on the season and can’t wait to see the videos
@@AsaFletcher yeah my college doesn’t receive funding like that so you have to pay everything yourself. Lucky for me I only had to waste money on cross county so like for $60-70 ur next races a 5k,6k or 8k
Hey Asa! Really liked your video, such good quality ! I am a 17 year old junior from Greece (Europe) and currently I am in the reqruiting process what were your times but also what did your academics looked like in order for you to get accepted to a prestigious school like NYU? Once again awesome content, I wish you a great XC season!
Hey man, that’s super cool that you’re looking to get recruited. My times were 1:54 (800), 4:18 (1600), and 15:04 (3 mile) and academics were 4.45 weighted. Honestly your best bet is to reach out to as many coaches as possible and keep the progression going. Appreciate the love on the video and hope to keep making more stuff that inspires!
hey asa what do u think made u recruitable/get u into a position to be on a collegiate team? like u, I am an incoming freshman (not at nyu, but ik a few nyu guys on the team), but I am not in the position to be on the team. I mostly just train by myself in nyc. anyway gl and keep up the content!
Yeah man for sure! I think just having solid times and keeping good grades really was the deal for NYU. Overall you just have to reach out and see what school is the best fit.

Yeah it really just depends on the schools funding. I appreciate the support!

NYU 📈📈
Which countries/ continents did you backpack across?
Started with Australia, then hit Canada, the UAE, Greece, France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, and Vatican City
Please film a day in the life
Coming soon!
Did you get a full ride for NYU cross country ?
you cannot receive a full ride offer from a d3 school like nyu
@@AsaFletcher ok thanks, loves the video.
@itztexh9727 means a lot
@@AsaFletchercan you get partial scholarships?
@boattrash3 yeah! so I actually got a lot through academics
Did you have to pay for your gear or do all athletes get it for free?
All athletes get it for free!
I thought d3 didn't get stuff from brands
It’s all about the schools funding. NYU is the wealthiest d3 school, so they have lots to give.
@@AsaFletcher ah I see that’s dope
tuff, im going to be a sr what where u hs times in sr year?
Ayy, yeah so I didn’t have the best senior year, but I ran 1:54 (800m) and 15:04 (3 mile) which were good enough for me to get in
Awesome
Thanks mom!
