Indie or not, it does not matter. Where you start, what you did, how much effort you put into your work, you are new or not, they all don’t matter. The only thing matter is the result, stop using excuse to cover your incompetence. If you are just small, newcomer then maybe try to learn as much as you can from other well-known producer or from music producing courses instead of trying to release every song you can every month despite of having little to no knowledge , hoping that by doing that , you will get better . If you decide to do that , then you sure are ready to receive backlash for showing your immaturity and being uninvested in your works. How is that not constructive enough?? I already express my opinion, everything in the world is encapsulated in good or not, there is nothing in- between. So by saying they are terrible , they are a pain in my ass, I have already contributed enough to let them know that not everyone appreciate their works or their works will not appeal all types of people. Hell, there might not be a single person who is Interested in their works so saying “not everyone “is already an exaggeration. Or are you expecting me to write a dissertation which go in-depth to around 100 songs to a guy who I don’t even know and the guy even doesn’t even seem to have the same perspective as mine so he might not even understand a thing what I was saying even after I put hours into my essay ? Do your shallow brain actually think that in order to judge something, people need to have the same level as the creator? Like people going to restaurant, eating something then finding them terrible which resulted to them complaining to the chef. Do you really think that there will be any chef at all, who will slap the dish into the customer face and said that “ you are not even a cook, not even on the same level as me , so you will never understand how good my food is “ ? Which is the same as music, you expect people, normal customer to have a degree in music field in order to be able to criticize a musician work? Well then why don’t you sell your music to musician only, people who can “appreciate “your “talent” and live in poverty, feeding on these praises for the rest of your life? Business is all about attracting as many customers as possible, it’s not a contest. So that is why producer try to appeal the customer and not the way around. Someone complaint and these producers, singers or whatever take it and note it down, that’s what “REAL PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN “do, they don’t raise their voice whenever someone calling their work “trash “because they understand their products only relevant in a specific community, not like some fake half-ass musician like you, who got butt-hurt over people complaining something and immediately screaming that people like me will never understand their works. You probably say that to only make your lazy, incompetent “indie “musician ego feel better. 2021 already and there is still some ignorant people like you think people need to be an expert first before being able to raise their voice about something. And have you even try to look at yourself first before spouting nonsense? You are the one who should work on your “constructive criticism “first, more than anyone else. You said mine is not constructive enough but then you also said to each their own? They totally contradict each other. You already know that I don’t like the things but still force me to give you a better insight although you will never get a single thing I said. If we have the same mind, the same ideal then if I don’t agree with you on something then it worth an explanation. But now this is totally based on preferences but you are too clueless to realize that. Pal, you totally need to get a life and do something good for once. Imagine being triggered to some random complaint about your favorite songs and producers. Or maybe you relate your loser self to these terrible producer and somehow my word hit the nail on your head. Being parasitic on your parents or brothers/sisters or even girlfriend sure give you too much free time that you don’t know what to do with them and decide to be triggered by a random complaint. @Brendan Fung he did get some of the attention back with the Cendrillion 10 th anniversary. It’s not much but it’s honest work. But he is still far behind compared to some new Producers just because their music is tied with this current generation more
