The fact that the sounds are from a decade ago just amazes me. They don’t sound out of place at all.
yeah i really wish they put the original sounds in i loved sniping on bo2 it sounded deadly and felt nice hitting people with it but now the snipers are probably the worst they have ever been in black ops history

They should make this into a “sound pack” something that lets you switch the sound effects to the BO1 sounds. Not only nostalgic but they just sound so much better than the default sounds.

Fun Fact: The Cold War frag grenades whenever they roll/bounce off surfaces make the same sounds they did in bo1, so weapon sound packs could be possible

@@spaceman-pe5je Cold war is reused assets. From bo3, bo4, and even bo1 and 2. The maps are reused assets from the campaign, and alot play terrible due to them being ripped directly from the campaign. Zomvies is reused assets from bo3, and the new firebase z, is a copy and paste of part of the firebase map made for storymode.
@@mathjesticgaming1188 there's literally nothing wrong with reusing assets made for another part of the game, like the campaign. it has no impact on whether it plays well or not.
what assets were reused from bo1 and 2 and 3? if anything,it's probably the absolutely most minor things, like small icons or sound effects, and nothing which impacts the game in any way.
@@spaceman-pe5je Its just lazy how they did it. Everything in the game is reused assets, and they somehow made a even more glitched out game than before. Previous titles reused assets as well, but they did it well enough for you to not notice it was reused. The original sounds for guns sounded like the bo4 guns. The 150 heatlh bar system the game is built around is bo4 all over again, the same icons from bo4 are used for elements of the hud.
Vehicles used previously only in bo2, make a return. Raid and express look exactly the same, with a very few cosmetic changes, when they could have given the bullet train station the more 80s feel to it besides old tv screens. Trees from bo3 and bo4 somehow look worse in the new game when up close to them. Even g sliding was in the game before they "fixed it".
While there is nothing wrong with reusing assets, like what IoI did with the new hitman trilogy. The difference is that the new hitman game released With minor bugs. The new black ops game is broken, the reused assets are more noticeable(even the prestige shop added old prestige icons from older games with the same resolution, rather than updating them), and it is more unstable than a bipolar 14 y/o.
They need to do audio packs so we can change them to our liking

I'd KILL to have those sounds in the game. I don't hate most of Cold War's sounds, but the M16 is the absolute worst of the bunch in that game, god fuckin' awful. The Cold War beta actually had a better sound even!

Bo1 gold was the best gold camo in cod history imo that coverage and contrast was damn near perfect

I say bo2 diamond camo. BO1, Had to grind to 13 prestige for color clan tag, then 14th for gold. Then 15th prestige for the bad ass moving calling card. Freshman year was lit smh

You can tell by the sights aswell as the front assembly like the cone shaped muzzle brake. and also cause its short [ its the carbine length version of the ak74 wich is an ak47 chambered in 5.45×39mm ]

I love how in the marketing for cold war, they had their sound engineer bragging about the gun sounds being "powerful" but they pale in comparison to a game from 10 years ago...

I think very few people ever played, but Black Ops Wii was some of the most fun I had in gaming. It never peaked past 2k players, but the small community was awesome. I was apart of a clan called ViP and two of the leaders somehow had mods work for it that allowed everyone to have fun in customs. Never forget

For anyone wondering, advanced warfare was the first cod game where they started really changing weapons sound, since that game the gun sounds seem extremely flat and dull, where the older cod guns were more loud and vibrant, I still don’t get why they did this.
Probably some scheme to appeal more to casuals I bet

The sound design in particular is something i always loved about bo1.
Bo1 was a perfect cod in my opinion because the sound design was perfect the hud was perfect for the game and guns fit in really well and sounded really great and the maps were really good like even the bad ones were pretty good to play on
And one of my favorite maps that nobody really talk about is Hotel because it have elevators and stairs in the buildings so you had 2 different ways to getting to the second level and to me it was just a bigger nuketown

One thing I'm happy about is the fact that plutonium has bo1 now. I didn't realize it was brand new because Im new to it but like bro. I've been wanting to play all the games from my childhood again and I'm so glad stuff like plutonium exist.
