Printed and assembled my caliburn 4 myself. There's very few problems with it even through drums and drums of testing, and I know for sure that it printed with quite a few flaws. I think the difference here was that I used PETG and 6 walls for my parts. Better tolerances and holds up to abuse better. That being said, you should take your issues up with OoD, I'm sure speaking to them on these matters would be vastly more satisfactory than dismissing the blaster design.

I feel like at this point there's much better options than the Caliburn these days, Alchemist, Javelin, Talonclaw (another Slug design), etc. (But wait, here comes Springer Perilous)

A year and a half ago I've bought a Cynthia from an unlicensed manufacturer in Russia (I had no other choice) for 50 DOLLARS. The print, hardware and build quality were terrible, but it still functions to this day with some minor modifications and I had none of the problems you had with your caliburn, so I think that hardware and print quality aren't the main problem in your case. The main problem is the blaster itself because capitan slug's designs look more like prototypes than fully finished blasters. Yes, he is still a legendary designer, but the quality of blaster designs in this hobby have stepped up so much, that slug's designs nowadays are not a good option.

Looking on the blaster upside down gives a strange australian experience, can you place the camera on the other side of the table?

I haven't had a problem with hardware kits from OoD, shame it happened to you, but I can attest that their print quality is not up to a very high standard. They're *functional* but that's the best you can describe them as. I've had better luck with other vendors and of course the best luck with printing my own parts once I got my own printer.

Yeah ive never been a fan of 3d printed blasters. I'm still good with my Harrier(honestly the last blaster you'll need imo)

to be honest, it seems like either something is wrong with your blaster (you got a lemon) or OOD’s printing standards are just super iffy. I’ve owned a C4 printed by silverfoxindustries for a few years and have put boxes of ammo through it with no issue whatsoever, not dealing with screws backing out or sharp edges where prints meet, have taken it apart and reassembled still getting ~300FPS upon the first couple shots, with that being said however your gripes with the design of the blaster are 100% on point, the weird trigger guard, catch and exposed metal bars will be more of an issue eventually… the blaster is meant to be modular, you can replace a faulty barrel with a tighter anodized one, you can buy lighter plungers, you have to take into account the design is probably ~4 years old not considering when it actually released after the licensing & stuff was done… all in all good video though & looking forward to more!

Man I had some issues with my uburn, but it wasn't nearly this bad. I just don't care much for springers so I sold it. I got it secondhand and the previous owner had taken terrible care of it, so I had to fix alot.

As much as you dislike it It’s hard to believe that this blaster Caliburn 4 was released in 2017. It’s 9 years old While it is a good blaster there are other 3D Printed springers that are light- years better then the Caliburn I highly recommend some of silly’s designs they won’t have the problem your having with the Caliburn.

As someone who has printed, and fully assembled the Caliburn as well, I can say that mine has some of these issues.
The front collet screw repeatedly comes undone, at one point bending the metal bar.
The gromit in the plunger shot out like your metal piece did.
The metal hardware was also scratched up pretty bad.
Some of the screws don't fully go in.
And the thumbhole stock (yes, i opted for it) doesn't fit the screws i was given.
However, the blaster is still fun to shoot around with, and when it fails, I like to look inside because I feel smart while doing so. The handguard can stop the trigger problem.
I was also holding my Caliburn the entire video, and it was visibly offended.

Where did you buy this blaster from, OOD? Maybe you would've had a better experience with Frontline Foam since they made improvements like a braking system to make the blaster dry-fire safe with the Caliburn 4.
