Should we not consider mass moment of inertia of motor and pump assembly along with mass? I think this is very important and system dynamic response would be very different from what we would get by only considering only mass and not inertia of motor and pump.

That's right I think inertia plays an important role

Yes, if you have mass moment of inertia and then you should include while defining point mass.

Great work, for my thesy work i have a compression test lattice structures dimension 100*50*50. Is Transient analysis correct? I want see the damage of structure

Yes, correct. But transient analysis will required huge amount of time.

    Hi! Great video!
How can this type of analysis be useful in the case of a centrifugal pump base frame? What kind of situation does it represent?
    Thank you :)

Thank you. It is useful to study the dynamic response of the centrifugal pump for given time frame.

can we apply the same method for seismic analysis?

Where an we get the acceleration time data for the motor(excitation load)

You need to measure from your equipment. You will get from accelerometer readings.

hi, i am doing wind analysis of pipe rack structure with bolt connection in transient analysis using one-way FSI analysis. If I am running the analysis with dead load, wind pressure, gravity, and fix supports, the analysis is running successfully, but when I am putting the bolt pretension load, the analysis ran but after 6 7 hours It gives error that solution could not converged. what should i do

During 19-20 mins it is mentioned that peak response comes after peak acceleration time (peak acceleration at 16.5 ms and peak response at 26ms). I am doing analysis of a PCB assembly. In my case, the peak values for deformation and stress comes at 4.6 ms and peak acceleration happens at 5ms. Can anyone please tell me if I am doing any mistake or if this is alright?

Why didn't you apply base excitation on transient structural analysis

Why did you add gravity ?

Whenever there are acceleration loads then it is required to give gravity. You can cross verify thorugh the reactions obtained
