  • Somewhere in Atlanta on a Saturday night you might catch a sweet soulful tune while walking through a hip neighborhood section of Atlanta. The neighborhood is Little Five Points and the tune is "Light of the Midnight Sun," from Rasiyah.

Rasiyah. A musical vocalist. A jazz tinged soul. An amalgamation of stellar influences. An earth-singing sister.
Rasiyah is what one would call a musical ‘head’. She listens hard and deep and draws from the depths of some inner light when she let’s loose on a track or in a jam. She’s a musician’s delight. She gets inside the music, finds a comfy spot and lives there, showing folks around her choral castle with licks and trills. Rasiyah is one of those rarities who commands music with her soul and that’s why we listen.
Gifted to have so far experienced a dazzling and diverse musical career spanning 14 years, Rasiyah’s multifarious musical adventures enabled her to expand in various capacities, from
songwriter for DKD, Domu and Jimpster to name a few, to backing vocalist for Bembe Segue, to guesting as lead vocalist for several different artists and bands including Jazz Jamaica and Reel People, as well as emerging as a self-made producer of original material. Her musical sojourns to Japan, South Africa, America and most of Europe has added fire and colour to her sound foundation. It’s clear that to Rasiyah the possibilities are endless. She’ll utilize any means to get her musical message across. A message of hope and faith and light.
