Hello Amy, I appreciate your honesty about needing a break the dietetic career. The typical 9 to 5 of clinical work can lead to burnout for some. It's nice that you were able to experience jewelry making and find peace while also earning a salary. Peace
Hi Amy. Your story is awesome. I've been a chef for the last 27 years and am about to start my Masters Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. I am now self-employed and have been running my own Personal Chef business for the last 18 years. I am also from the east coast and moved to Golden, Colorado in 2004 (still here 20 years later and love it!). How do you provide Telehealth and how do you go about billling insurance companies. Thank you!
@@larehpirep1 thanks so much! I love our similarities. Congrats on the masters program-very exciting. It’s not a quick & simple question to answer but you’d have to apply to become an in network provider with insurance companies and get a contract with them. Then you can submit your claims to them. (I have a whole self paced course on how to do this- available on my website). But I love this option because I do t need to commute to an office or rent space.

You're welcome. I'm starting to believe that working 9-5 in any job will become a thing of the past.

I just left too!!!!! 15 years of hell as a clinical dietitian
Sometimes it's nice to switch it up!!
I'm a chef for 18 years and would like to try dietician job. How hard is it?
If you like science classes, you'll enjoy it. You need a masters degree now to become a dietitian.
