Re. weather & perceptions, they say the average for global warming so far is still around 2 degrees up, but it's a LOT more obvious here in Alaska where I've been living with the weather for going on 70 years now. I'm not a scientist either but can tell you from my own life experience that Alaska's range of extremes has shifted upwards by more than 10 degrees in the last 20 years or so. It used to be from -40F on the coldest winter day to +75F or so on the hottest summer day. Now, that range in Southcentral Alaska is from -20F to +90F (& sometimes hotter). If the glaciers had been retreating as fast as they are now for the last 10,000 years, there would be no glaciers & no word for "glacier" in any language today...& Florida would be about half it's current size.

Alfred - we are just now entering the peak of hurricane season...the conditions that allow for formations are at near perfect states to cause havoc. I've had the same thoughts as you that maybe not much is going to happen. But not getting complacent so far lol!

It was a one-wheel drive rental truck and it was a Ram truck. An ordinary pickup truck has only one working wheel, no posi. They are just work trucks.
