I vote on the issues a party represents at the time. As the Republican Party stands right now, I find it repulsive. First, I am appalled that trump is the republican candidate for president. No way do I believe that trump actually was nominated. He stole the nomination just as he stole the 2016 win to the White House. But trump is not the only problem in the Republican Party. The party’s decline is systemic in nature. A multi-party system is crucial to democracy. Anything less is a dictatorship. For this reason the Republican Party needs to be scrapped and replaced with a healthy version. The Republican Party as it stands right now is not a healthy political party (too many trump cronies).
I am comfortable with Vice President Harris as our next president, still we need a minimum of 2 healthy political parties to maintain a viable democracy.

She could not receive the same health care I easily received as a matter of routine in the same state but years apart. I also was already a mother when I needed care. I knew this was going to happen. The repercussions from these draconian laws will be felt for generations. Womens lives matter.

This is heartbreaking. I live in Texas. This could be my story as I had a ruptured fallopian tube from an ectopic pregnancy in 2015.
Fortunately I was able to have the emergency surgery and I survived and went on to have two beautiful babies. But I know many women aren’t as fortunate.

Women have the only chance to stand up for their rights this November and avoid unnecessary deaths and suffering. Vote blue!
This tragedy is a result of the Conservative belief that women are no more than brood mates replaceable when they fail to function properly in their only real purpose in life (snark intented). An issue I think needs to be addressed is that medical residents and interns being trained in these backward states should be rejected from any state that wants doctors who are fully trained in all aspects in reproductive health. Since doctors in these states are not fully educated they should not be hired in those states that care about women. That would mean that young people should think widely when choosing where to obtain their education. And women of child-bearing years should leave states that do not care about them.

Your confusion is because "pro-life" is a misnomer. They are really just "pro-control-of-others", aka "anti-choice".
In 2018, the March of Dimes published a report on maternity care deserts. More than 5 million women lived in maternity care deserts at that time, and the numbers have only gone up since then. The phenomenon of maternity care deserts are caused by a combination of for-profit healthcare, low birthrates, and low population density. It's not profitable to keep a maternity ward open and staffed if it's only intermittently in use. In our medical system, unprofitable things get shut down.
This was a problem well before Roe v Wade was overturned. It's been a growing problem for decades.
