PLACEBO music is such paradox cause the more you listen to it, the darker and more melancholic and hopeless it seems, but on the other hand it has that spark that motivates you to get your ass up and change the fuck out of your life. No other band hits harder
I have loved Placebo since I was 14 years old. I am 33 now. Their music has brought me through the deepest darkness. I can’t put into words how much their music cuts through the inauthenticity of this bullshit society.
Same here and I’m 43, best band I’ve ever seen live. In a way they been a soundtrack to my teen-adult life. I guess it depends on your mood. ❤ these guys
Man listening to Placebo feels like coming home - hauntingly familiar, even when you're hearing a new song of theirs for the first time. Nothing else compares!
That's such a perfect explanation. They always feel familiar and like home. Never boring though. This is probably the only band I have loved for 25 years without ever getting tired of them or being disappointed. I feel so lucky that they are still making incredible music so many years later, music I've been able to enjoy from my teens to my 30s and that will surely go into my 40s with me (I'm 38, not too far away). I also feel lucky to have discovered them growing up in the US, because they definitely weren't well known here. It's bizarre, really.
Oh, come on now. Saying EVERY song is a masterpiece is just sucking the bands cocks. Loud Like Love for example was a pretty poor album overall. Battle for the Sun wasn't the greatest either, but at least it had a few REALLY great tunes on it. Not that time makes one fan more of a fan than another, because it doesn't. But just for the record I've been a fan for 23 years.
@@needsmoreclipping I've been there since the beginning and while I don't think every song is a 'masterpiece' by any means, I actually really love the albums you mention- just coming at them after a bit of a hiatus with a totally open mind. I've been a fan of Placebo for a long time and got to know and love the band through the movie "Cruel Intentions" ❤️ Brian Molko's voice is unmistakable and leaves a lasting great impression every time! This song reminds me of the old style, a mix of "Black Market Music" and "Sleeping with Ghosts", I love it! So far I've seen them live four times and I hope for a 5th time soon! 🙏👍
It actually sounds like it was recorded earlier.. considering they mentioned "ex-drummer's head stuck in the past" I'm assuming it was made after they released Meds cause that was the time they separated from their drummer

Literally 11 seconds in when you hear that note - it's unmistakeably Placebo. I don't know how they do it. Years and years of being a fan and still they never get true mainstream recognition but I'm completely fine with that because yeah, not everyone is the same. And this has set me off on a Placebo session. 6am in the UK on a Saturday morning. Why the F not.
let me just say this. it's dark and so placebo-ish. what can i say more? amazing. and piano solo in the end? what a wonderful way to end a song. brian's voice? absolutely magnificent.

Extrañe mucho la esencia del old Placebo, que entrañable ¡qué maravilla! 😍
Always changing drummers but the two main members are always there ..the placebo keys.. awesome 😎 sound ...missed these dark electronic sounds
Por cierto, dejando mi like desde México🇲🇽 👍🏽... creo que justamente hoy necesitaba una canción como ésta, me encanta su voz...
Placebo forever. Since the first beginning.

Best album of the year... Brilliant... Masterpiece...
That disjointed feeling in the haunted lullaby piano solo..... so good. I'm in love with the darkness of this track. Perfection.
Addictive!
Intense. Touching. Meaningful. Excruciatingly beautiful. Pure Placebo. You guys are exactly there when 'I need you the most'...
melt my soul..
Don't believe that they came back . Thank you so much, this is the happiest day of my live.

Just Perfect
I love your voice Brian Molko, i love Placebo
Cool track, it’s a touch of that darkness of our reality in the world we live and there is truth in those lyrics. Brian has not held back here.
I am SO EXCITED for this album.
Classic Placebo!!!
This is the underrated side of Placebo that I truly love. Glad to hear it making it's way into the new material.
