NASA Voyager Space Sounds - Jupiter

- NOTE: All sound data reworked and mixed by Jeffrey Thompson @ Brain/Mind Research
INFO: Although space is a virtual vacuum, this does not mean there is no sound in space: sound does exist as electromagnetic vibrations.
The specially designed instruments, on board the various space probes, used Plasma Wave antenna to record the vibrations used here, all within the range of human hearing (20-20.000 cycles per second).
Interactions between the Solar Wind and the planets, moons and rings of our Solar System create "Soundscapes" of frequencies in the plasma energy "Ocean" that fills the void of space. Each planet, moon and ring system has a distinctive "musical" pattern. This decoded information can be heard when played over a speaker system.
Jupiter:
The sounds used on these recordings were taken from NASA Voyager I & II. Jupiter, the fifth planet from the sun is the largest and most massive planet in the Solar System. In mass alone, it is three hundred times the mass of Earth. Jupiter is mostly composed of hydrogen and helium. The entire planet is made of gas, with no solid surface under the atmosphere. The pressures and temperatures deep in Jupiter are so high that gases form a gradual transition into liquids which are gradually compressed into a metallic "plasma" in which the molecules have been stripped of their outer electrons, The winds of Jupiter are a thousand meters per second relative to the rotating interior. Jupiter's magnetic field is four thousand times stronger than Earth's, and is tipped by 11° degrees of axis spin. This causes the magnetic field to wobble, which has a profound effect on trapped electronically charged particles. This plasma of charged particles is accelerated beyond the magnetosphere of Jupiter to speeds of tens of thousands of kilometres per second. It is these magnetic particle vibrations which generate some of the sounds you hear on this recording. - Видеоклипы
Jupiter looks like a living oil painting
Or like a giant bowl of soup, yummi
Literally
That is so accurate, I can't believe I've never thought of that
That's because it is
This is...overwhelmingly beautiful...
Thanks.
@@jupiter9545 Hi Jupiter!
I know I arrive a bit late: I took several years to reach out, such as an orbiter heading for the end of our solar system ;))) ! I read the exchange about the use of those sounds. To my opinion all was clear to my mind that this was a "reset of acquired waves through NASA equipment in order to make it audible for human ears". What is weird is that I hear this type of sound during some of my dreams? In any case since we have been created by elements that can be found everywhere in the Universe, we are somewhat connected to those "signals". Thanks for sharing!
what would the dreams consist of
Jupiter and Eno. Ambient 5 "Music for Spaceports". Beautiful sounds.
jupiter is my favourite planet. it is so interesting and so unbelievably beautiful. i love this so much!
Jupiter sounds eerie, very big & scary
Unfortunately, these "Brain/Mind Research" recordings will probably continue to resurface forever, giving the false impression that the planets somehow emit meditation music. The actual Voyager plasma wave audio can be found online, and although not nearly so soothing (or so marketable) are quite interesting in their own right.
***** Again thanks for your insight!
***** Don't think anyone suggested that these are the direct, unaltered recordings of the Voyager plasma wave audio recordings. In fact, the description states 'All sound data REWORKED and mixed by Jeffrey Thompson'.
Chris Hayes Hi Chris,
Since the begining of my post, under *jupiter* there is the statement: 'The sounds *used on these recordings were taken* from NASA Voyager I & II' and not *are* the 'Voyager I & II'' recordings. But when +Space Audio made his comment, and to avoid further confusion about the so called 'NASA Voyager Space Sounds', i've added: "All sound data reworked and mixed by Jeffrey Thompson" on the beginning of the description.
What i really feel is that the sounds presented on this work are great and that i just enjoy them for what they are, and now i believe that there won't be confusion about their nature anymore:
1. these are based on actual raw recordings of the probes
2. they were reworked and mixed by Jeffrey Thompson
In the near future i'll add the remaining reworks to the playlist.
Cheers :D
***** Exactly. This is meditation music, not the natural signals we recorded. (And by "we", I literally mean me and the rest of the Voyager PWS team, so I assert that this is more than opinion.) Again, there's absolutely nothing wrong with meditation music and nothing wrong with using highly modified snippets of our data in it. The only unfortunate aspect was giving the false impression that this is what the Voyagers recorded.
Ugh you've commented on EVERY video like this
Sounds more like music to me instead of it sounding like space.
It's ambient so it not what Jupiter or space would sound like
The eerie sounds of Jupiter wow
Great alternative when you get tired of ambient
The sounds of angles
This is really cool, nonetheless.
All will be revealed in time...
Невероятно круто и пугающе !!
The ancients spoke of the Music of the Spheres - now we actually get to hear it! Way cool!
This Jupiternian Dark Ambient is soundtrack for the hellish movie taking place inside of eye of storm of Great Red Spot (on screen in pause)
What if these sounds are not actually planet sounds but just space sounds
Van Gogh was secretly having visions of Jupiter!
do you know where i can order a print of the image you've chosen for this video? it's gorgeous.
I can only give you a link for the digital image:

thanks
@@ambispheric how did you extend the ambience because at some point like at 31:16 or something like that it ends so how did you extend this ambience
@@ambispheric sorry my bad at 9:11 it ends
Vine por jessica walrus que me dio un link a este vídeo para que escuche una canción random y me toco esta hola...me siento solo Alv :c
Been looking for the original sound by Nasa, for 1/4h now, so it's not so easy to find. All we get is space music pretending to be the original.
this is still more music than Justin Bieber :D
gne gne gne
Just what do you think you're doing, Dave?
You know I can't do that, Dave. Take a stress pill.
Alhamdulillah
There is no orange in the box_n't deny the existence of an orange outside the box
Jupiter sounds is ancient, time sound.long long years ago time.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't this come from the electromagnetic recordings of one of the Voyager spacecraft and translated into false "sound"?
yes
@@noamlima9402 thank you. ^_^
Jupiter red spot Powerful hurricane
=D A LIFE PLANET!!!!
you canot live on jupiter
the sounds of GOD!! that is for sure... god is talking with the planets and they are talking with them selves too,, comunication betwen the planets..
stewart hughes Good for you buddy
+stewart hughes Shut up, you lower the IQ of the whole internet.
