Don't be scared writing in or marking up your books. I just saw a Ryan Holiday video at Daily Stoic. He says, "As I'm reading, I'm either highlighting or writing in the margins. If anyone does this with my books, I consider it to be an honour. You're supposed to be in an argument or discussion. It's a 2-way communication with the author."
    Hope that helps. :)

This has really motivated me to step up my academic annotations! I’m so intrigued about your wind up bird chronicle study manual annotations and I was wondering if you would ever consider making a video on how you did it or if you continue to do it with other Murakami’s if you would film the process?

Hello Kate... This was a very helpful video. Thanks for sharing your ways of doing annotations, it's interesting.
I just simply underline the text I like and put a tab there while I am reading. I never write in a book though, if I have any thoughts I put a sticky note and write on that.

i have this comment: you just flash the open book with the annotations on it. that doesn't show : a) the content of your annotations based on the actual paragraph; b) how do you attach the tabs on the pages, they were just stickies to the paper ???, because i saw those blue rectangular stickies inside the open book pages. i guess that was too tedious and/ or personal to exemplify maybe ill get to an author to help me with annotations i was trying to say.. the annotation is your summary of a paragraph or a copy of the original text . i get it at some point these two will get a degree of redundancy... thank you
