I bought "Fistfull Of Metal" when it was first released strictly based on the album cover and title. I bought Metallica's "Kill 'Em All" the same way. They were brand new bands with no industry support, just word of mouth one fan at a time spreading the word about them. I have so much more respect for that than those goofy, poofy-haired bands that came out of nowhere with lame songs, slick videos and became stars just because MTV played their videos and 14 year old girls liked them.
+James K. do keep in mind tho many of those poofy hair metal bands were technically gifted. The guys from Ratt or Raxer X could play circles around the guitar players in Anthrax or even Kirk Hammett of Metallica.

Shame theses bands never put that talent into their music. They may be a technically proficient guitar players but if they can't write a decent riff then what's the point?
So not any of them wrote any decent riffs?
Same with Leatherwolf. Gifted guitarists for sure.

i love how this album has nothing to do with anything anthrax did on the following years, and sounds like no other record in metal. Turbin vocals are like a very grown up eagle on meth. The only thrash metal vocalist on this level of high-pitched sperpentic godly insanity i can recall is the dude from Razor
Turbin sounds like Rob Halford of Judas Priest.

Chuck Schuldiner could do those high pitched squeals too, unfortunately you almost never got to hear them, you can hear him doing those in the Death cover of Painkiller and some demos from that album in which Chuck sung

the big 4 all had the same goal in mind
to rid the weaker sound in metal which eventually led to the creation of death metal with the goal of what was Thrash and upping the scale

Gerry T71 no lol, his voice was good, albeit abit too grungy, if he joined STP they could be the next alice in chains. I personally enjoyed Neil turbin's screaming more than joey's vocals, but there's no real chance of him rejoining... :(

Neil Turbin was the best vocalist Anthrax ever had. This song proves that. Belladonna and Bush sound like amateurs trying to sing DEATHRIDER.
Honestly, whatever vocalist originally performed the song, is the only one that can do it right. That's why they should just have them all on the touring lineup.
