I loved it from start to finish. I loved Black Widow but Shang-Chi has the stronger story I must admit, even some Man Of Steel vibes at times for me personally. I adored Awkwafina throughout as Katy so I might have a new girl crush. lol She was wonderfully warm and funny. Best Thumbnail of all the reviews I've seen, Dawson! Fun Trivia for you if you weren't aware (as nor was I until a couple of months back) , Shang-Chi's father in the comic books way back when the company owned the rights to his original dad was that of Dr. Fu Manchu (who Christopher Lee famously played for Hammer's adaptations of the character from the British pulp novels he originated in at the turn of the 20th Century) so too bad we didn't have Katy say "I thought you said your dad was a doctor or something?" as neat nod to the character's original history despite the argument being made of Fu Manchu being an issue of a racist caricature even though I'm certain any character of any race can evolve with the times and still have a following based on the original purpose of the character's goals and motivations, just doesn't need to be seen as a representative of their background heritage or anything. Still Shang-Chi's dilemma of being the son with a legacy of arguable evil remains in tact when swapping Manchu out for The Mandarin.
