- International Women’s Day takes place every year on the 8th of March to celebrate the achievements of women worldwide. The day is also used to recognize women who've made significant contributions to the advancement of their gender.
International Women's Day was first celebrated on March 19 in 1911. A million women and men rallied in support of women's rights on that first International Women's Day.

The first women Prime Minister in the world was Mrs. Sirimavo Bandaranaike from Sri Lanka. She had to get that leadership after assassinated her husband. Here, the picture shows her daughter, Mrs Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaranathunga. She was also a prime minister and the first women president in Sri Lanka as well. I am glad if you could change the picture or name for accuracy.
Another interesting video. Short and full of facts 👍

Today marks 100 years since American women got the right to vote.

There is a fault in this video. When you mentioned about Sirimavo Bandaranaike, in that pic it's not her.

It's weird how both International Women's Day and International Men's Day both had an original date before being moved to a new date. International Women's Day original date was March 19th. It then got moved to it's current date March 8th.
Then International Men's Day original date was on February 7th. It then got moved to it's current date November 19th.
I came for the classes✌️
