That shoulda been a red light for me. When I enlisted as a 19D back in 2012, there were 60 some slots open for 19D's at the time. Originally wanted 12B which I did manage to switch over into after I switched to the ANG in my home state but yea, being an Airborne 19D had me doing everything BUT my MOS job.
Nikko, as a retired SF SGM 18D ODA team member, I can honestly say that in Special Forces we are constantly getting Seals that want to come be Special Forces, but you will almost NEVER find an operator that wants to go be a Seal. The reason for this is that once you get to that elite performance status your main goal is to be the best and surround yourself with those who accept nothing but the best.
