Great video! Amazing quality, no stupid music and straight to the point!
We're they all wild trout?
Yes
I have that rod and have only used it once, but it is in the car right now and it will be used tomorrow with a 4wt WF line. I had to send the first one back as the spigot ferrules had no gap on the bottom two sections and the other spigot was not much better. The replacement was 100x better and the rod goes together well. Just a tip to people getting these - they do not, and should not fit together flush - each section should have a 3/8" space between the sections. That spacing is designed to be there - so as the rod is used over time and the connection wears a bit - the connection will still be solid. Anyway, I am a fiberglass flared convert and love the vintage rods, but still enjoy the new low cost options from Eagle Claw (6'6" featherlight is a joy) as well as the Aventik brand rods too. Good luck with that rod - perfect application for it as you mentioned.
Good tip on the gap!
Fiberglass is so underrated. People think graphite is so much better but I've never broken a glass rod. This spring I had a graphite St Croix rod blow up in my hands with a bend that any respectable rod should handle. Long story short I'll never get a carbon fiber or graphite rod again (if a comparable glass rod is available).
this is my first glass rod and love it so far!!
@@BendItFishing the fly rod I use for bass and larger trout is a 7 wt. 8'6" Berkley Enforcer I bought 15 years ago when I was in college. It's a beast but I love it. It's cheap, its glass and it works!
That was my first rod in a 6wt, bought it years ago and still use it to bring people along that want to learn
Glass is great to learn on
Agree, right tool right job!
YES
Nice video!

I have this same rod and love it! What area are you fishing here? Looks absolutely gorgeous
Southern Part of the White Mt National Forrest in NH
日本人みたいな釣り方するんですね〜
Hi, really great video. I just wondered what your thoughts were on the rod after a month and have you been using a 3# line or over lined with a 4# ? Many thanks in advance 😎👍
Love the rod! Still using a 3wt line and the same leader that came on it. The reel is not sealed so it does need to be dried and oiled after getting wet
@@BendItFishing thanks so much for the reply, that’s really good to know 👍
I just got this blue one in the mail today
You'll love it
@Bend It Fishing, I have an old Browning Backpacker flyrod / spining rod combo. If I am decifering the markings correct it looks like a 4/5 wt rod. What floating line would you recommend spooling for rivers like the Swift or Pemmi? I can't swing buying premium line. Any suggestions for budget friendly line would be awesome!!
I prefer Rio so I would get the Rio Mainstream Trout WF in 5 wt rusn about 40$ tight lines!
@@BendItFishing Thanks man! I appreciate it.
Np
Umm a stick would work for the fish you catching let alone any cheap fly rod
Well ya
