The 2020 Ford Shelby GT500 is an absolute MONSTER from the factory. Running a 10 second quarter mile while also being able to handle just as good as a front engine rear wheel drive car can get, it's an amazing achievement for a domestic brand. However if it wasn't impressive enough with it's 760HP motor from the factory, my buddy Lee took it upon himself to take his GT500 and make it the current world record 1/4 mile Shelby with 930HP to the wheels. This was done using extremely simple bolt ons, and it does not dissapoint. It's incredibly intense and not for the faint of heart. The Camaro Zl1 and Dodge Hellcat players better watch out, there's a new snake in town. Thanks for watching and new uploads every Tuesday,Thursday, and Saturday!

What’s your favorite thing about this car?
ThatDudeinBlue love how drivable it seems to be, sophisticated when necessary, rowdy when wanted. Love that type of car.
Fixing one from being nothing to being a beast and driving it.
My favourite thing would have to be the better interior option compared to the earlier model. I also love the new professional look of your products! I watched the video all about it and learnt quite alot

The fact that it has a clutch like system for the pulley so it’s not always running the blower
I will say, as a GM guy, Ford has been on point with their exhaust sounds the last few years.
Im a gm guy as well. But with cars mustangs have always been great imo.

The only reputation for such things is only found in dumb social media and forums in the newer Mustangs. The reputation remains only because people refuse to change. Frankly, because they are biased and prejudiced, they DON'T WANT Ford to ever fix it. They want Ford to keep building traction-sketch prone pony cars.
Otherwise, ACT LIKE THEY ARE NOT. The meme has worn so thin, there's a mile of visibility through it now.

You guys do realize 2012 ZR1's were pulling damn near 900 whp with the same mods... That was 7 years ago. I can't reference a shop off the top of my head but I do believe Katech has tuned 2018-19 ZR1's in the 950 whp range with the same mods. This kind of power isn't exclusive to the GT500, and is to be expected at this point. You guys are either stanning for Ford or just not in tune with the times

I grew up obsessed about Imports. the STI was faster than a ford GT back then. Big turbo Supra’s were eating domestics in street races. Imports out handled at the circuit. But now I’m 35, and now there are some serious players in the domestic car world. The 2020 GT500 is so freaking sick

I grew up on foxbodys and sn95s, we put a lot of work in to go 12s. Then I got a terminator, 12.6 stock. Now I'm rolling in a 14 GT looking at 10s. We have become jaded. But I'm thrilled to see a time that I was born after happening again, where Mustangs, Camaros, challenger's and chargers are roaming the streets, and blowing away numbers from years gone by. It's a great time to be a car guy.

@3:13 Im honestly super happy that they’ve been sticking with the 15-17 headlights on the newer Shelby’s. The 2018 and up headlights just don’t look good to me. Even in person, I just didn’t like it.

It's all personal preference and they did it to save a tiny bit of money instead. Personally it looks like a speed boat ( I own one) and the gen 2 looks like a less mean attack speed boat lol

AstroMagic Yeah the Gen 2 looks super mean but the gen 3 looks a bit more futuristic for the changing times. A speed boat is the perfect way to describe it lol.

At first I didn’t like the GT500, mainly because of the over the top styling and automatic gearbox...but it’s grown on me and now I love it!!!
Camaro owners are the only ones that disliked...
upgrade suspension, get tires, and learn to drive. Mine hooks up with 619hp to the crank

Aside from the Terminator I have never been a huge mustang guy, but this thing rustled my jimmies and I could see myself owning one! Also the orange is amazing.
God I'm in love with the new GT500. It seems to be so much better than I previously thought before it came out.
Outta everything i love about this car the most important feature for me is how every magazine has compared this transmission to Porsche's PDK that in itself is miles ahead of the competition. Ford has really done their work on this car
Side note: Really liked the music in the intro, never heard something like it in any of your videos 👍🏼 As for the car, absolute masterpiece 🔥

It's funny because I'm terrified of Roller coasters & heights, but I absolutely LOVE getting that feeling from really fast cars like he describes at 7:31. Not too many cars can give you that feeling, but the ones that do... Oh man, what a treat. I recently drove a 2010 Nissan GTR (video on my channel #shamelessplug) and even that vehicle didn't give me that near-sick feeling but it is still such an incredible car to drive and one of my favourites.
I love how rapidly you can hear the shifts change in the GT500. It's truly instantaneous! I've been a life long fan of the Mustang like many of us, hoping I can finally snag a 2018 GT this year. Great review, and shoutouts to Tang Stang for allowing you to review his beast.
I believe Evolution Performance's 2020 GT500 now has the record for quickest and fastest 2020 GT500. It ran a 9.59 1/4 mile, not sure what the mph was. I think the biggest hindrance for these cars at the drag strip is the transmission control module. Tuners currently can't modify the transmission tune.

The sad thing is, there are older Mustangs and other pony cars with stock internals and a turbo that can run under 10 all day long. Main thing is how the ECU is set up for gearing, engine speeds, etc. There's guys out there that have a 5.3 LSX motor w/ a turbo in the little S10 trucks that run under 9.5 sec in the 1/4 mile. For way less money then the Shelby. Just saying there is a much cheaper way to get speed if that's your thing.....

I love the15-17 head lights with the18-20 tail lights. If they had gone with the 18+ head lights it would've looked like a goofy wide body bubble

Loved it. Mustang really is trying harder. But the fact that Manual Ts are dying off for alot of car companies is just a big killjoy for me. Yeah the autos shift faster, smoother yadda yadda. 7..10 speed cool. BUTTT if numbers don't control you, in my mind a manual option would have gave this car even MORE awe and excitement to it. Regardless awesome review David

Those shifts hit SO hard... The experience... I NEED IT! Cupholders hold lenses perfectly CHECK! I saw my first one in person at the local ford dealership. Fresh off a car transport which came through bad weather. It was dirty, but I didn't mind. It looks amazing. It's like they took the GT350 styling and just went full hot-wheels with it. Everything is bigger, beefier. The wish to drive one someday is great! It looks and sounds like an amazing experience!

This car is so underrated. 70+ dollars you can pay for a fully spec BMW 320 diesel with 184 horsepower or whatever. You said it right, the most power per dollar is with this car. Ford deliberately sandbaged the power, the supercharger only has 12 psi, less than 1 bar of pressure. With a software tune, cold air intake, cat-less exhaust, injectors, fuel pump you can squeeze that 930 hp or more, which is McLaren P1 stuff. Get the 18k carbon pack for feather light wheels and it's good to go, it will shoot past any M5, E63 or RS6 for less money and way better sound.

Gotta say I hated the fact that it lacked a manual, but I’ve grown to accept it. Mostly because I probably will never own one of these cars. Still would love a GT350. But that’s the best part is that you can choose the model for you. I’m sure these cars are going to be well over 1k whp soon

That one your driving is also a handling pack with the gurney flap connected to the rear spoiler and with the front wickers on the front splitter. So it’s not the full carbon fiber track version but helps handling over the base one which already handles great and what pissed me off is a lot of the big channel tv and magazines they didn’t have the front wickers on or even the gurney flap against like a c8 handling pack and the zl1 1le
