Mike, what you just wrote describes the overall spirit of this channel. It pains me to see so many interesting songs we've reacted to sitting at around 100 views or less for multiple days/weeks mainly because of their obscurity. I know that may sound self-serving to most, but my frustration is really about the lack of love those actual songs are getting on a site where each day Chris and I push the boundaries of our respective comfort zones. You'd think that would catch on, and maybe it is, albeit slowly. And yet overall (yes, w/exceptions) we see folks coming in to check out only those artists/songs they know and love and then leave, only to return until the next time we drop a song from that same artist. As I've described in a few past episodes, ITM is like a big buffet table, with so many different dishes to choose from. Okay, done with my rant. :o) - Greg

I love the diversity of music you guys are covering, this one certainly a treat. No other channel I've found enthuses over musician such a genuine way you two do. Given some reaction channels are truly sh*t I'm not sure why you don't have thousands more subscribers. Having said that I think the momentum is building and increasingly you'll turn up in people's searches. Hang on in there.......!

Cool reaction, i like your channel! My suggestion: Fiona Apple "O Sailor": such a beautifull song. Or her cover of the Beatles "Across the universe". Don't laugh but i think it's better than the original...Thanks again
Hi guys, Recently discovered the channel and really dig how you really listen and appreciate the music and it's nice to hear your perspectives as gentlemen with more refined ears and a larger musical vocabulary to describe what your hearing. I am excited to look further through your back catalog as i see many of my favorite bands reperesented from The Smiths to The Cure to Oasis to New Order and beyond but what forced me to leave a comment is you finally landed on my favorite band....Deftones!
I have been a fan of this band since '95/'96 and have followed their career to the current day and still just as much of an admirer of what they do as i was back then. As for how to describe their sound, this period of the band was 1997 when their second full-length album "Around The Fur" was released and at this point they were still very much a metal band with hardcore leanings and definetly a little of what was described as "nu-metal" at the time but they would pretty much completly shed that tag by their next album and have just continued to progress since. Even at this point you can hear a lot of influence of shoegaze, alternative rock, new wave, etc incorporated into their sound but they would take that even further later. Greg hits it on the nail when he compares them to The Smashing Pumpkins whom were definetly an influence on what they were trying to accomplish (Billy Corgan is actually a huge fan of theirs as well), Stone Temple Pilots is an intresting pull too as Scott Weiland writes a song with them in the future.
This is actually one of my favorite songs off this album, but never in a million years would i think of this as a good introduction to the band but really glad it worked for both of you. There is definetly going to be tracks you will connect to more in their catalog but this was a nice start. I dropped you guys a few cups of coffee and i think those tracks are going to give you a broader picture of what this band is capable of. Looking forward to seeing your takes on those tracks and maybe introducing you guys to some other bands in the future. Keep up the great work!
Ah it was yourself that requested the newer tracks.. Good stuff buddy 👍 I was Also thinking rosemary down the line.. But for now I stuck with some earlier stuff.. Mascara and MX should be on the way soon✌️
