This was great but you forget to mention how Mercury’s rotation challenged the Theory of Relativity.

Thank you, but I didn’t quite understand how its rotation contradicts the general theory of relativity? Quite the opposite - Mercury's orbit doesn’t align with Newtonian gravity. But with the advent of the general theory of relativity, these issues no longer exist.
