@@rhysnichols8608 yeah Medical condition. I was told I cant ever join because of it. However I have given myself a new target. The fire service. That is now my main focus.
@@rhysnichols8608 I will make it. You will see nothing but determination from me. I'm keeping up with my fitness and revising the hell out of the job. Ideally by the time I am old enough to apply I will have made myself the perfect candidate
Amaan Parvez I'm pretty excited even tho I'm a while away. Also I'm Ben, RUclips won't allow me to change it back after calling myself Tim as a joke aha
Hey man, I posted about this a couple of months ago on www.royalmarines.co.uk and what I learned is that just because you CAN join at 16, does not mean you SHOULD join at 16. Many Royal Marines don't. Get some education first so that you have something to fall back on just incase being a royal marine does not work out. its better to get it all over with and join after finishing college (Or even university!) You might hate every second but it will all help you in the future.
When I did this, there was a lot more crawling, like through the mud paths and puddles as well as running, seemed very intense compared to just strait up jogging/running it.
@@patriot4786 it's like the regular and reserve army. Regulars get deployed more on operations whereas the reserve forces are part time troops who have a career in civilian life whilst simultaneously have a military career which allows them to be called up if required
I'm hoping to join the Royal Marines reserve whilst I do my public service course, after I have passed my two year public service course I then would hope to join full time as an officer.... would this be a good choice? I am 17 and have been preparing myself especially for the royal marines for almost a year now. Prior to that I am always into fitness. Just hope this is the right choice to make.......
Love the Royal Marines
Could I? Hell yeah I could! Unfortunately I was turned down for my medical! I applied for paras as well but was turned down there for the same reason.

@Dave Klonpenberg I had psoriasis on my hands. I don't anymore though
Can’t wait to join
I'm joining up when I'm 18, I'm currently 15 and will most likely leave school at sixteen. That's when I can really get ready for joining.
Tim Gurkins same I am currently 14 in year 10 and wanna join when 17 so I have a year for full on training

phillip walsh obviously this is highly edited, and probably missed out a lot of what is actually done during the test.
I presume you failed and that's why you're a Pongo now?
@@JammyDodger45 🤣🤣😂😂🤗🤗
Is this for reservists? And is this the 32 week or the 3 day course?
Hi Amaan, these are reservists completing their commando tests. The commando tests for reservists are exactly the same as they are for regulars.
Thank you both for informing me. And hopefully in 2 years I shall be one regular participating to be a RMC❤️
Royal Marines what is the difference between regular marines and reservists?

I live in Australia and have a British passport is it still possible to Join up?
I'm only 13 but I do think that you need to live in the U.K. for 5 years. I'm not sure.
Yes you can.
You either need a British passport or to live in the uk for 5 years
Did you?
Empty webbing pouches?
I'm sure it was 35lbs,and they'd weight it prior to starting.

Yes, I could. Doesn't mean I will. Not for oil and drugs.
You get paid in £ not oil and drugs.
