It was dormant for so long and none of the previous marketing went as in-depth as Enes did. That video is still getting lots of views to this day, and the Jordan fan base isn’t the same as potential buyers. All I’m saying is that he did a great job highlighting the properties features and downplaying the negatives
The part you're missing a bit is that all those windows look out onto barren trees from November till around April. Chicago winters really aren't all that pretty! Sun light can be hard to come by in the winter too.
In my opinion outside of Lower Bel Air, West Palm Beach, and some of the Hamptons communities houses sized over 12,000 - 15,000 square feet do more harm than good for the price because of their square footage. The cost to maintain, and to renovate every 10 years, means expenses are always greater than the earnings through appreciation of the property unless homes are $100 million plus and going to increase at 3% to 5% annually, it’s a huge burden financially.
Crazy cool story. The reason to not resell the furniture is cause Jordan owned and used it. Same as selling Elvis furniture cause it’s special owned by a celebrity. Worth more than the objects.

As you've stated, I do wonder about all the personalized aspects of the house: Will the buyer remove these elements, maybe even including the iconic 23 on the front gate? The prohibited sale of the furniture i assume stems from the worry that it may be pawned off as MJ collectors items, but what to do with it then? I certainly would only use a handful of the furniture, and the rest would then have to be stored somewhere, rotting away in some storage facility, or even scrapped! What a waste of resources! Overall, I do hope that the owner enjoys their newly acquired house, and makes it their own! Last thing you'd want is to shell out nearly $15 million only to feel like youre living in someone elses place
Jordan's house looks like Whitney Houston's home. His house is fabulous and more updated. Yet, the circular style is very much alike. Edit: Ennis does great work.

If he had unlimited funding I can see how it could drag out but sensibly it should have been priced to sell, maybe even no price and just take the offers. No one is going to pay super premium for a shrine to someone else. Back then it should maybe have been priced at 3million. It has a 1990 conference center vibe, it's not amazing.
