I'm a Bruce descendant. Good to see you family.
Hello everyone. I wont say my Godmothers name but this is her families property this is a blessing toward her and everyone in her family. I'm very excited to be able to go to this beach and say this is my land. For years they've fought to regain what was stolen by their oppressors. Big step, and maybe many to come I want to thank everyone who made this possible.

The sandy coastal area was likely inhabited by the Tongva tribe of Native Americans. ... It has been mentioned at the Historical Society that the location of a portion of current day Manhattan Beach may have been used as a Native American burial grounds.

I'm sorry black folk and many were brought here against there will but it's not right our lands are being given away with out saying something for us. History is written by the victora I wouldn't be surprised if there were even more stuff our government was hiding about the war against the native Americans. Although I do feel extremely bad for the native americans I can say without a doubt I'd prefer myancestors to have your land over the white man anyday because we understand how much each grain of grass and dirt means. That's something we can both agree on. I've always advocated for the native americans to get their real pensions for the atrocities the white man caused, our government stays in pride with such topics blaming always someone else instead of doing the right thing. I am very sorry for what happened nothing can hurt more than knowing your ancestors where wiped out by the same people ancestors who walk the street around american today. We although must take into account that they've acknowledged us.

You need to see how this helps white supremacists. They do not want to pay back natives and will make up lies like we all own casinos. Yes, some tribes who gave in quick got the best benefits. But us who held out fighting literally got nothing, called people with no land. People are so uneducated when it comes to natives struggle because they purposely kept us out. having grown up in Hermosa/Manhattan, i would agree that that area of Manhattan Beach is in no way ready for a black enclave.

The concept of land taxes was to fraudulently take land from the original owners was is criminal in itself. Before our land was stolen, we lived on our land, farmed and ate the fat of our land and bartered amongst our neighbors minding our own business-then the theives came and you know the rest
There is no minimum or maximum amount to pay on your property in California to pay real property taxes, Flat rate which the city lease income is more than covering.
