For male photogs out there: Encourage models to bring a friend! If you as a photog have a problem with a model (female model) bringing a friend then you should re-examine your intentions and the place you occupy in whatever photo community you are a part of. We (male photogs) historically control 100% of power dynamics when working with a model and it's our responsibility to change that and make creative communities safer and more inclusive.

I think it’s all in your initial approach when you’re setting up a photoshoot, if you’re a genuine person and you already made your intentions clear of why you want to shoot with that model then I think that fine. I hate bring extra people because it has actually distracted the sessions I had, a job could have taken me an hour or two ends up being four hours because the model and friend spent more time talking to each other rather then allowing me to shoot the model. It’s two fold because you want the model comfortable yet at the same time to complete your artist vision.
I’m not so agree with this statement . When she(model) brings a friend , it will distract the whole Photoshoot because often they will talk or disturb the photographer. I hate it personally
If Vuhlandes asked me for a photo on the street it would be the only vibe check I ever needed.

i once was walking with my girlfriend in the park before quarantine and went to the lake side of it. we were kissing and hugging and talking to eachother while on a raft or something and then left the place just to find out that a random female phorographer was shouting at us that she took photos of us thinking we were cute and grabbed an e-mail of us to send us the photos she took. later that day we had the photos. it was a cool experience, totally made our day. :d

Really liked how you approached this whole video, including the creating a genuine connection with people and treating folks like your friends - and scheduling a future day to shoot with folks you meet on the street instead of immediately doing it (like you said, folks might not be ready, or not fully process the boundaries and comfort they want from that interaction because of the urgency)

I think has a man photographer especialy if you want to do that as your full time work you need to be professional, if your a weirdo your never gonna have people or project to shoot.
You need to make the model feel good that's your main subject.

Just don’t be weird first off, and if you’re just being yourself but you’re awkward, just take a deep breath and remember she’s a human. Act like she’s one of the boys if you have to. 🤷🏻♂️

just seems you talk at people more than having a conversation. it can be deeming to some so that is why you might get some negative feedback. you are dope artist but sometimes your own energy is mottled. stop worry about what people think and just do. and no one needs your girl fighting your battles in the comment section like the streets
