    Namaskaram Vaishu Anna and Nishant Anna 🙏. Thank you very much for this podcast - super helpful. I have already shared with my Samyama friends. I am doing Samyama in Jan 2024. I am hoping you will be able to address my questions:
    1. Food related questions:
    a. Is Jalapeno okay as substitute for green chilli?
    b. Can 100% cocoa powder in unsweetened form be consumed? I generally mix it with warm almond milk and jaggery and consume it like a hot chocolate drink.
    c. I have 2 meals a day, and 1 meal is fully raw. However, I can’t manage to have my raw meal during the day at work. Hence my dinner is raw. My dinner is generally some fruits followed by a raw salad (cucumber, carrot, cherry tomatoes, and green capsicum with some coriander leaves). Is this okay please?
    d. Is vegan curd okay?
    e. Is boiled fresh sweet corn okay to consume? Will it be considered raw food or is it cooked food?
    2. Sadhana related questions:
    a. Is practising shakti chalana kriya twice a day mandatory? In our PSM, I remember it was mentioned once a day is must. Twice is recommended if possible.
    b. Is there a progression to reach the ideal position while doing Hatha Yoga - for example placing the palm fully on the ground during padahastasana, placing the heels fully on the ground during parvatasana, forehead fully touching the knee during janu sirsasana. In all these asanas, I cannot reach the ideal pose.
    3. The biggest challenge where I am struggling with is sitting for long durations in ardha sidhasana. I badly need some tips and guidance on how to sit for long hours in ardha sidhasana. Please suggest tips and techniques to increase my ardha sidhasana to a minimum of 1.5 to 2 hours. Currently it is somewhere around 45 mins. I am facing two main challenges:
    a. Knees hurting.
    b. Leg going numb (in my case its usually my right leg going numb and becoming uncomfortably painful).

    Namaskaram🙏🏼
    Thank you for the information, that's interesting and inspiring.
    I want to know what is the basis for what you said about the foods because some of it wasn't adviced by Sadghuru as much as I know. (Like dark chocolate, removing the gangi from the rice etc)

    • @pranavakshetra
      @pranavakshetra Год назад +1

      Ganji removal is common all across the rice states traditionally. Even in the ashram ganji is separated. Like it is said in the video, the ashram cannot cover all the food types and products. Secondly yes ashram or Sadhguru never mentioned about chocolate. Once you have done your practices continuously without a break for for a long period of time, you develop a sense of what is negative and positive without really knowing what's in the food automatically. Chocolate is one such thing that is best avoided during this time. After the silence program or at other times there is no real need to avoid this. Since we are preparing ourselves for a particular situation certain foods are best avoided.

    If Shoonya is the basis of Samyama should there be gap to to establish the Shoonya before Samyama.. What do you suggest.. Is 40 days gap sufficient?

    • @pranavakshetra
      @pranavakshetra Год назад

      Yes and yes. Two months minimum preparation is what I noticed that the ashram has mentioned as a requirement i believe. But one mandala minimum is for the shoonya establishment. As far as practices are concerned, if Sadhguru and ashram are allowing it, it might be ok. Like it was said in the video, every program is different with him but few fundamentals hold true that shakti and shunya are the foundation.

    Another big challenge doing Sadhana outside ashram in a home with non meditators is…… doing all the Sadhana yet appearing not to do. 😂
    Spending 4-6 hrs in Sadhana room throughout the day is indigestible apparently and to top it all our diet! 😅 😅

    And how about Ghee?
    Did I understand right, that I remove the water right after the water starts boiling and replace the water or did you mean that I remove the water after the rice is cooked?
    Or what if you soak the rice or dal before you cook it and remove the water, is that fine too?

    • @pranavakshetra

      Ghee is allowed in minimal quantities. Best is the Indian native cow ghee as it has conducive properties. Buffalo ghee creates lethargy but if you are engaged in intense physical activity, buffalo ghee is also helpful. Jersey cow ghee is negative pranic. If you do not have ghee available and need to consume, the closest and best alternative is cold pressed coconut oil.

      Yes Tomatoe comes under zero pranic and should be consumed in less quantity like potatoe, tubers etc.. zero pranic is not negative but definitely brings in lethargy

    • @SoothingHerbs
      @SoothingHerbs Месяц назад

      If you are asking this question probably you’re missing the point of the samyama. Why do you want to do samyama? Just do shambhavi and live your life.

      @@SoothingHerbsYou think all those who do samyama are monks? And what is that disrespect to Shambhavi practice? You are making it sound like it's very low level practice🧐

    • @SoothingHerbs
      @SoothingHerbs 26 дней назад

      Not at all. Shambhavi can take you all the way to moksha as Sadhguru has said however it’s more accessible that samyama as the prep for samyama is quite involved and has many practices that you have to dedicate to. Otherwise you will not be able to experience properly the Samyama and you will draw on Sadhguru’s energy in a wrong way. He has given Shambhavi to help live more well in the world so that practice is enough for those who find it hard to incorporate the discipline of preparing for Samyama.
      No one giving prize for Samyama this is not a race. There is a sadhana for everyone take what is suitable and don’t create a race condition for yourself
