The MOST beautiful place in Sulawesi, Ollon Valley in Toraja - Indonesia

- In todays episode I will visit the incredible Ollon Valley in Toraja, South Sulawesi, Indonesia.
But first we enter Tana Toraja from Mamasa province down the unfinished trans Sulawesi highway which is the worst road I have ever drove before.
We visit Toraja's best waterfall, Air Terjun Sarambu Ratte Balla. Which lies just on the border between Toraja and West Sulawesi.
We check into a homestay and live in a traditional Toraja house, a Tongkonan house with a huge roof.
It's then we visit the funeral (Rambu Solo) that Toraja is so famous for. And finish off in Church where it's the harvest festival. Very unique experience indeed.
Finally we make out way to the incredible OIllon Valley which is the most beautiful place I have been in Sulawesi, the rolling hills have these strange criss-cross patterns on them and the scenery looks like Sumba or Komodo. But instead it's Hidden here in the middle of Sulawesi with the mighty Sadang River flowing through it.

The Sulawesi series maybe the window to foreigner to see how beautiful Sulawesi is, but importantly also the best way so far for us, Indonesian citizens to see and then realized how beautiful Sulawesi landscape, culture, and people. Iya betul, sulawesi itu sprti madagaskar dimana 80% hewan endemik ini dikarenakan sejak puluhan juta tahun sulawesi lokasi terpisah dan tidak tersambung dgn daratan utama eurasia
Betul. Bahkan lukisan tertua di dunia ada di pulau ini.
Iya sepertinya bgtu sob... Ada kemungkinan Sulawesi itu kotak Pandora ttg prasejarah ..
Banyak dr kita tidak menyadari bahwa pulau Sulawesi ini kontur tanah nya,alam,flora fan faunanya berbeda dg pulau Kalimantan jawa dan sumatra,karna pulau Sulawesi dr dulu kata ahli purbakala memang terpisah dr ketiga pulau besar (Kalimantan jawa dan Sumatra,yg dulunya menyatu) tp Sulawesi dan sekitarnya ke arah timur itu terpisah,,,jd apa yg kita lihat di Sulawesi tidak akan sama dg yg ada di pulau bagian barat Indonesia,,,intinya Indonesia memiliki keanekaragaman dan ke unikan masing-masing daerah,, semuanya indah,salut buat bule bule adventure ini yang telah memperkenalkan alam Indonesia,,😎

i've visited there on 2018,when i got my first CRF 250 rally ..a brand new bike,but my friend told me that the road is good..but ,the fact is... very very dirty road..i go with versys 650,versys 250,and some small bike..but ,only my bike,versys 250 and small bike have been there safely arrived in Ollon village,the versy 650 must be stay in the middle of the jungle,because the tire is so hard to move..next time,i must go there again
I wouldn’t ever want to try that road with wet mud. Must be horrible
