Got out the military in 2020 and kept the sides tapered while letting the top grow during covid. My hair is naturally curly so I have a somewhat similar cut but a lot more natural looking. I was shocked to see the rise of broccoli tops first hand over the years. Feels like every kid wanted to copy my hairstyle but didn’t have the curls so the perm is where they went ultimately reviving the 80 style male perm with tapered sides, these kids are wild getting perms like that 😂😂😂

I have naturally super thick straight hair that naturally grows down and forward (which every barber comments), so no matter what I tried to do, and I tried EVERYTHING from various styling techniques to numerous hair products to get volume, but would always end up super flat. Now, I finally have volume, but the styling does make a difference, along with your clothing style.
