  • Kainga is a roguelite city builder (yes, you've read that correctly, it's a neat merge of the two genres!!) where you have to achieve goals and defend your colony from other factions and wild animals. I love the art style, it's very pleasing to look at, and my favorite part are the wild animals that you can tame!!!
The best part is that every run is between 20-60 minutes so you can easily play a map or 5 before bed!

Hello! I know I'm a bit late to this video, but I am an avid Kainga player, and have been playing since around when the game came out, so I thought I'd give you a few pointers :)
You started in the Terraces map, as everybody does, but the houses you chose had zero rain protection (as most clay-based houses do). This is why they were instantly destroyed anytime they were rained on or flooded. Although, it is a lot easier when you know what type of weather most of the maps have.
Secondly- you built a rain collector. While this did come in useful at one point, but typically I would not build anything to help fight fires with houses that have full fire protection, as the tiwa houses do.
Third, you did a really good job at taming those snails! For the future, I recommend at least 10 Braves (the normal people) person every snail you want to tame, except for 15 on the first one, so you don't use your whole working force. For larger beasts, 15-25 people per large beast you want to tame, again, so you can keep your workforce
Fourthly, you had tamed the albino snail, and would've gotten karma for doing so, but you failed to keep it alive by having it fight in combat. You should always have a diverse army when invading.
Fifthly, fishing towers are really glitchy, but you witnessed that firsthand.
And finally, the reason the Flotsam Arena didn't work the first time is you were playing when Version 1.0 had just came out, so it was really glitchy, and a lot of people experienced similar stuff
I really enjoyed watching, and you did really good! I'd love to see you return to the game someday
Each map has its pros and cons. As you play more, I'm sure you will learn them. Have fun!

Nice. Quote of the stream “We should be able to use their bodies for fertilizer, right?” For the algorithm!

The game looks pretty neat, thanks for showing it off! How easy/hard do you find it when jumping between lots of different games for your ganders and streams?

For me it's super easy to switch back and forth between games, not sure why. I could play a different game every day and not have any issues or worries 😀
