How did it sound when you was done and what exactly was the sound before my es350 has a noise that sounds like engine bearing but I hear it mostly on the pulley side and I do be having to add coolant every once and a while. This video make sense but I just want to know the noise it would been beautiful if you showed the before and after with the noise lol at least for me lol. Great vid tho
Quick question ... on the es350, when first cranking, should the fan be on? I just cranked my 2008 es 350 and heard a strange noise, lifted hood and the fan was not spinning or its belt moving. I turned it off as I didn't know whether that would harm the car or not. Found this video and thought I'd inquire. Thanks.
Paul Henry the cooling fan is Electric and will come on if the temperature is Hot enough or if the AC or defroster is on. This is a normal condition. As far as the noise goes it could be coming from the water pump or one of the pulleys. Hopefully this helps. Thank you for writing and watching!!
Thanks a lot for the reply. I noticed that the belt to the right of the fan is not turning. It is on a horizontal pulley. I cant find a decent diagram of the engine layout to see what that belt is and does and if its supposed to always be moving or not. Basically, I'm trying to determine if I should be driving it or not.

How many miles is on that ES350?
Was the pulley that was damaged the one for the water pump? Does the coolant stain mean it needs to be replaced?
Thank you. This is pretty helpful. What is the biggest wheel at the lower-center of this video?
Do you have a video on how to replace the tensioner?
Thanks!
Did you ever find one? Shops want $500 bucks to replace it....
Never mind I see it. Do you have a video of a 2010 ES 350 alternator being changed? That video exists nowhere...
How easy is it to access the alternator? Can you go through the top?
Hello. I don't think I have one on the ES at this time.
Does the car just need the water pump pulley replaced or the whole water pump assembly? Just wondering because I have the same issue
I would recommend the whole pump and Any other accessory pulley that is the same age. It’s just a matter of time for the next one goes out.
@@HowtoAutomotive Thanks for the advice I’m extremely grateful and will be replacing all of it.
