    I have a lg direct drive 8kg 1400rpm smart ThinQ washing machine. It’s a 2018 model but I bought it brand new last year and I love it such a good quiet reliable washer and easy to use even though at first I was like wow look at all the programs and buttons 🤩😂😂😊 I had a lg intello washer many years ago when they first come out in the 00s when I was just starting out on my own it was my first ever brand new machine that also was good and quiet back then. It died 7 8 years later. So decided to get another 20 years later and I haven’t regretted it was worth every penny I spent. Was slightly cheaper as it was an older model but still new.

    I also bought just similar LG machine, with drier. 7/5kg. Yes, very good. Silent and good result. I feel my clothes are pretty good even not changing water levels. But only used couple of days.

    Have you considered that your clothes come out soapy because you used too much detergent? Modern/good powder detergent only requires one to use a small amount. The machine relies heavily on the 'chemical cleaning power' of the detergent, and soaks the clothes for longer. In short, longer cycles use less water and electricity because the clothes soak for longer. Source: involved in developing software for this kind of purpose.

    I prefer mine with the silver door and see through double strength glass. Also a mines a 1400rpm spin not a 1200rpm like yours. And mine have A.I on mixed fabric cycle as well. Yours doesn’t. And I use a dose ball for liquid detergent. My lg rinse at the rim which for me is plenty water and I have eczema just so you know. I avoid cottons programs as it use’s barely any water while easy care uses lots more which means I don’t have to adjust anything.

    Very nice, I like your explanation and it was very clear. And yeah I agree with your dislike with the water level, I just don't understand how the clothes suppose to be cleaned and detergents washed off with that very low water level ? There are other brands like bosch, beko and also some old LG models have a bit higher water level but the new ones are really not that great

      The reason the detergent is not washing properly is he is using cold water. He should be using 40 degrees water minimum. The detergent will dissolve better at that temperature. Depending on the tap temperature is a bad idea. If it was cloudy then your tap water is going to be colder. The mistake here is he is coming from a top loader which could not heat water and is disabling the heating function of a machine that can. Also, there is a psychological expectation there should be more water. I was surprised to see the bottle says to use more detergent if it's a top loader than a front loader. That is a detergent that is not suitable to be used in a front loader. There should be no difference in the quantity of detergent used for a top loader when detergent is designed for a top loader or for a front loader when detergent is designed for a front loader.
      Second, this dynamo gel reminds me of Ariel gel which got poor reviews when it was launched over ten years ago in the west. Change the detergent and use something else. The fact that this detergent is recommended to be used for front, top and hand washing is already red light for me. NO detergent specifically for front loaders I see sold in India has any instructions to use for hand wash. Only the top-load detergents have these instructions. So I would conclude this Dynamo detergent is for top loaders and is not to be used in front loaders. No wonder he did not like the performance and had to go looking for hacks.

    • @johndoe-vc1we
      @johndoe-vc1we Год назад +2

      The reason you see more foam is a top loader requires some foam to lift dirt. Whereas a front load detergent needs to be non to low foaming as extra foam cushions the clothes and decreases the wash quality. If the wrong detergent is used then the results will not be good. When P&G launched Tide in India they had similar instructions that it can be used in both front and top loader. I wrote to them and told them to explain how such magic is possible. Within eight months I noticed they released separate versions of their Tide detergent for top and front loaders both in powder & liquid format. As is the case with Surf made by Unilever in India. I think the equivalent is called Breeze in Malaysia. And Fab looks like Tide. The moral of the story is simple. Match the detergent to the machine. Use the right temperature and all will be good. With any machine.

    Nice video. Thanks. Why am I not able to select temperature when my LG front loader is in the "Cotton" mode? Is it automatically selected? I am only given the option to select the temperature when the machine is in "Cotton Eco" mode. RUclips videos show that temperature selection is indeed available in the "Cotton" cycle. My model is: WVC5-1409W.

    I was told by Harvey staff this 8.5kg is just how much it can support mechanically. Since this is only 47cm depth Vs usual ones that is 56cm, it is much shallower and actual capacity is only 6kg plus. I went to see the other 8kg LG model and indeed the drum is deeper. I couldn't see whether the interior is shallower but wider/taller though. It's worthnoting that the salesman only tell me this when he found out this 8.5kg slim model is out of stock and try to convince me to get the other 8kg which he claimed is bigger. Anw anyone know whether it's indeed 8.5kg?

    If you can se soap suds and foam inside during washing and you have difficulty rinsing the clothes from detergent then you are using too much soap. Better not follow the advice on the soap bottle 🙂 Check the washing machine manual instead.😊

    Ive just tried out my brand new 9 kg LG washer, FV1409S4W. I used a detergent made for a front load machine. After finding some suds at the bottom of the silicon rim, i used the Download Cycle with the default program on Rinse + Spin. I put the rpm to 1200. It was so noisy while spinning. Since most commented that the washer is quiet, what could be the reason for the noise? The bolts behind the machine were removed and I did not overload the machine .🤔

    • @StevesReviews
      @StevesReviews  Год назад +1

      One of the reason could be your machine is not properly level, ie maybe your floor isn't fully flat or level. Usually when we install a new washing machine, we always use a spirit level tool (you can google that).. to make sure the machine is fully level on a flat surface. If not level, then adjust the legs until it's fully leveled. Or could be other reason.

    • @yclana1
      @yclana1 Год назад

      @@StevesReviews I call that a bubble ruler! Haha! Anyway I did bring that spirit level tool out for the installer to use...but he refused and said it's not necessary. He insisted that as long as it feels level when you put your weight on the 4 corners of the machine, and it doesn't rock, then it's balanced! Maybe I should ask a friend to help me to balance it using that tool ...but it's quite difficult as the machine is very heavy.

      For built in cycle, cannot... but you can manually after washing Quickcycle for 5 minutes, then you can pause and switch to "Download cycle" which is rinse and spin, and add the "Rinse+" which will rinse and spin for 2 times.. but that will be about 25 minutes, so not much difference I guess.

    very very old mentality and schol on "more water more clean" in your country water is very poor so you increase the usage right? also less water mean less energy for bring at the temperature you desire so less energy consumption now you have much more consumption and also if you use 60 or 95 it will not reach because to much water and it can't reach in time this temperature... also less water in washing meaning the detergent is much more concentrated and much more powerfull of being diluited in all this water. welcome in to the future india, here is italy that speack, we use this low water level machine since 20 years.
