Thanks for your commitment to doing these livestreams!! I have listened/watched for several years before my tour in Feb 2021 (dont know the exact number of it) and continue to do so. It feels like a 'community' and as a solo that is important since I will be traveling there solo next year. I like Panama City for the social activities and the easy access to everything.. and now Cerra Azul seems like a great option to get out of the heat of the city...

Hi Jackie, you provide a wonderful service. I am wondering how US expats in Panama overcome the 2-Step authentication process required by US banks and government agencies in which it is necessary to have a US phone number? Do they need both a US phone plan and a Panamanian phone plan?
Some port their US number to Google Voice to get the 2-step authentication codes. Others use family in US number to get the code. Some have a dedicated Skype numbe where they can get the codes. Some are able to convert the notice to an EMAIL instead of a cal. There are many different ways.
Jackie, I did not see the check in list this time, and I was going to ask you about Cerro Azul. You had a good video, I've see a few others, but your focus in on places West. Also no private tours or recommended realtors there. Just would like to know more as I have been from the city to Volcan in the past few years. Thanks.

Easy process but it will cost $20,000. You can buy a lot of furniture in Panama for $20,000

4 months may be long enough to get your permanent visa but you should allow for 6 months... just in case.

With the Pensionado visa, there is no age requirement. You just need to prove that you make at least $1000 a month in a lifetime income

Yes, you can live well on $2800. The housing depends on WHERE in Panama. Panama city is mostly condos or apartments. The rest of Panama is mostly single family houses.

If I want to move there using the residency option of setting up a company in Panama and issuing myself a labor contract, can I start the company as a nonprofit here in the U.S. and then transfer or transition the company to a Panamanian company when the time comes to apply for residency? I ask this because I am not relocating until June 2026, but I want to get my business running now before I leave the U.S. Will it be possible to convert, or do I have to start it as a Panama company? #2 What if I have two separate businesses, is it fine to just issue a contract from one, or do I have to have them both registered? #3 My husband works remotely for an American college, would he and our two kids be eligible under my visa for my business, or will he have to take another route? You must set up a special Panama corporation for that visa.
