You're headed towards thousands of subs. This is currently THE most under-rated comic book channel on the Tube. Always amazing content. Love that you're teaching your daughter the hobby/business.
Again, another great genre of comics, I started collecting romance comics for my wife in 1990. Charlton comics romance was where I started, they were cheap, no one was interested in anything Charlton. I bought thousands of all kinds from many different publishing co. Thank you for sharing your hobby with all of us
Love those romance covers. I have a cgc 5.0 Falling in Love 99. Same year/month I was born. One thing I like about the genre is how it documents the styles of the time, which were changing so much and so often from around 1955 to the early 70's.
Dr. Love is awesome, I want to see more cool romance books! I always wondered about “The National Romance Group” modified DC bullet on the romance titles.
Great interview and nice to put a face to Dr Love with whom I exchanged some friendly messages, when I had purchased a big collection of pre-code romance books a few years ago.
The most interesting thing he says here, from a collecting point of view, is that he's in too deep to get out. I wish he'd expanded on that point. It's a critical stage in the collecting journey, and a dangerous one.
So I'm not into romance comics at all. That said some of the covers are truly amazing. So I just bought a young love 49 I had to have it. Also got a girls love stories 66. Another great show, thank you guys so much for sharing.
There is nothing better than being swept up by comics you are not familiar with at all. I walk away from every episode with a bigger list of must have comics.
I was, am, and will prolly always be a Marvel guy. Especially silver age. But DC hands down, always has the best horror and romance covers imo. Romita, Sr is the best spidey artist to this day
85% of the fiction sold in North America today is romance. Is this a good thing for literary culture? No! Romance in comic books is okay -- I wish more of it stayed there.
The guy with the moustache would look SOOO good in one of those Romance Mags!
Romance books are so much fun because of their rarity and their beautiful covers.
The man with the moustache is FIT!! X

Just ordered a used copy of Love on the Rocks on EBay. Thanks for the tip.
I love your golden age videos and this is a corner that I'm not familiar with at all. Thanks for this.

Amazing stuff.. I love these very insightful videos. I missed the Kirby stuff on romance, also very nice, but please, more of this!
More to come!
I like how Dr. Love uses Baker and Cole as the romance gateway drugs!! Love the Romita romance-to-Spider-man evolution. Never heard of that before.

No Nick Cardy? For shame...

Uhhhh, is this guy really getting off this hard for female cartoon characters?🤨
I don't think that's unusual amongst male comic book collectors. In fact, it's probably the norm.
