Yes mate just got a mk5 tdi GT 2.0 looking to do some work on it, can i do this on the deisel and is it worth it, the throttle seems a little delayed like 0.5 seconds when you press it
Hello, I am having irregular idle and engine seems rough, I changed the PCV valve that worked for around 200kms got a new valve again but now it lasted 350-400kms, did this ever happen to you ? gti mk5
Yes, when I changed the PCV valve. You have a vacuum leak around the front PCV plate, that faces towards the front of the car. The rubber gasket is leaking. I used the original screws from VW, the screws that came with the new PCV valve, were not flat enough.
Take your car over to your favorite auto parts store, and have them run an OBDII scan on your engine. They should print out a sheet with the fault codes. Let me know what the fault codes are and I will do some troubleshooting for you. It is a free service they offer.
perfect, Im new to all this i appreciate you a ton!!😊
Thanks so much

If you're TDI uses direct port injection instead of rail injection, UK models are different in years then US models then yes this should help. Cheers

@@JoediyLab Ok will have a look again, but I also used the same VW screws, what would you do ? Would you clean the throttle body anyways ?
@@JoediyLab Thank you for responding too!
If this works and you can please make a small donation to support my channel, thanks 🙏
If you have not cleaned them and have higher mileage, I would clean the throttle body. I used a smoke leak detector to find my leak.
My golf 7 gti doesn't have acceleration can it be the throttle body ? It also shows the start stop error
