As a fellow builder I can appreciate these guitars for what they are, these aren't the run of the mill Strat copies that a lot of (builders) with CNC's in their garage throw together and call custom, these are personal works of art the bridge alone is a thing of beauty! He used a lot of really nice exotic woods on these builds, Lace wood, Cocobolo, Mahogany, Flamed Maple, and Ebony but he could build a guitar with plywood and because he cares so much it would be a great guitar!

I am grateful for hearing the stories and methods that Carl wants to share. These instruments are pieces of art and to have artists be as humble and kind as Carl and the guys in his shop is a real blessing.

You hear this man talk and just know you're in the presence of greatness (and a very cool cat). Had no idea what scale length was (and his explanation was simple and clear for an ignorant person like myself). I learn something new every day whether I want to or not. Thanks Carl! Hope he's doing ok these many years later. 😎 ❤☮🌎

Keep them coming. I love the stories and the information you share with us. Carl, you are a very genuine person and it is a pleasure to hear you speak.

You can tell this guy has seen it ALL! He knows his stuff. I love it, I'd work alongside of him and listen and listen trying to learn if I ever had the chsncee. I guarantee I'd bee fired within a week from pestering him about stories, and asking about this guy, and that guy. He seems like a tough old new yorker bird! Someone else said in a comment "I could listen to him all day!" I couldn't agree more. I love this!!
I wonder what him and Les went through?

I've been a Luthier since 1980. If you were lucky, you would get to work alongside someone as good as this. Genius.
