This is some solid preaching. It has deeply convicted and motivated me. I have been struggling with habitual sin: unforgiveness/bitterness; self-pity/victimization; jealousy/envy/not loving my self and others fully. I forget to ask God 's Spirit for help in my struggles. I will pray habitually to overcome my sin. Thank you Pastor McDowell. Thank you Father God, thank you Lord Jesus, thank you Holy Spirit.
😭 these last few messages have really revealed to me just how unyielded I have been to the Holy Spirit. Last week I’ve started my own Bible study on the Holy Spirit and I’ve learned so much already. I thank God for the word of God from this church, I realized I’m not as saved as I thought . I really want to be saved and live right. I thank God for the conviction of the Spirit.
I've listened 7 times now. I'm so convicted, refreshed, and encouraged. Thank God for a house that seriously serves and obeys him. God checked me, instructed me, and encouraged me so much that I'm still deciphering revelation from my notes all while looking at myself against my new understanding so I can do better and have a witness that will please God. I love Deeper!
I love William Mcdowell and his music. I believe he had Great intentions when preaching this message but no Christian is flawless. We are all continuously being transformed into the image of Christ from one degree of glory to another. We are to mature and grow in the faith and every Christian "struggles" (big sin or little sins, public sins or private sins, its all sins in Gods eyes) but when we depend on Christ and allow him to continually sanctify us HE WILL change us and make us more like him. Now that's a promise in the Bible. The word of God and the Spirit of God is what transforms us. I say this with love. God bless you.
So glad that Pastor William addressed the manifestation of false teacher in the church. 1:15:29 “And if you can live in habitual sin and sit under teaching [church] and not be convicted, it means one of 2 things. Either the truth is not where you are sitting [that particular church] or He [Holy Spirit] is not in you.”
“What is the purpose of community if I know someone I call a brother is in sin and say nothing….Don’t call them a friend if they see you in sin and say nothing”

Just a few questions: So we can’t measure the power of the Holy Spirit but we can put a cap on salvation? We’re only sons and daughters of Christ when we ‘do right’? I love Ps William but there is no good news in this, the good news is that when we receive Jesus as our Lord and Saviour he unites his spirit with ours, we become a new creation and one spirit with God. From that moment on our spirit can’t sin. Our soul and body can still be a slave to sin but our spirit is eternally saved. What’s the good news in temporary salvation? To say we must receive Jesus and live righteous means that we have added our good works into our salvation. And to think that we are only saved from the sins we have committed but if we continue to do sin then our salvation turns void? God is seated in heaven meaning he’s finished he’s not doing anything, Jesus is seated in heaven meaning he’s finished he’s not doing anything. God the Father and God the Son have done all they need to do. If you still asking for repentance everyday, your asking God to come back down to earth and pay for more sin that he seemed to forget 2000 years ago, but that’s not true. All that’s left is God the Spirit who helps us to live Holy and helps us to build our Spirit up and be able to conquer our own sinful desires. Just some of my thoughts during this message
