  • I created this song in 2010. It too was supposed to be featured on "Unstoppable Love." At the time, I was experiencing the expected hardships of trying to make it in music. There was a lot of red tape and individuals acting as gatekeepers to resources I believed I needed to access in order to reach the next level. 2010 was a really difficult year in particular because I had turned down deals, sponsorships, and television opportunities that didn’t align with my brand. I had negative encounters with major record labels, magazines, and even one particular radio host at Hot 97. Either way, my understanding of how things worked wasn't sophisticated. I thought that if I won enough contests, toured enough, and garnered enough accolades I would somehow become a default success. Despite me going on to earn many of the accolades I once coveted, there were still so many hurdles. Mostly, the “gatekeepers.” So many people rejected my efforts, often without proper reasoning. For every hard-earned achievement, there were probably one thousand rejections behind it.
The deeper I dove into the music industry, the more I learned about the corruption that drives it. And although that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, it was the Hip-Hop culture side of things that caused the most conflict for me. There were double standards, hypocrisies, and contradictions I began to struggle to tolerate. For someone who truly experienced a lifestyle that many might consider just a music genre, I considered the undercurrent of greed that drove Hip-Hop feckless.
I began battle rapping a lot around this time. It was a skill that I still hadn't fully developed and I falsely believed it was somehow a cultural entry requirement. In a way, I can hear myself battling the entire music industry in this song. But I didn't really like how my voice sounded, so I cut it from the album. Others told me that they feared that this song would result in me being ostracized. That probably fed into my final decision, as well. When I hear it now, I'm pleasantly surprised by all these little bits of wisdom from what is very obviously an earnest young man on the come-up. ~FO 🏴

    LYRICS:
    [Verse 1]
I will kick you in the knees
Break em’ and drag you halfway across the world from your sleeves
I’ll grab your girl by her weave
And swing her so hard the whiplash will leave her like Christopher Reeve
Don’t introduce me to your niece
I’ll give her a teddy bear covered in fleas carrying disease
The FinaL OutlaW is a beast
    Whenever you finished another song
    He’s completed a masterpiece
How good arе you at solving problems
What do Whoopi Goldberg and the Mona Lisa both sharе in common
You’ve got 5 minutes to solve it
Before I dip you in a hot acid chemical dissolvent
    I’ma problem
I’m the prime competition for the Top 10
Optimus Prime has been listed for adoption
    So you should sign him
Don’t get it twisted in your mind we are not friends
We never were I spit nouns and verbs
You’re more concerned with wearing feathers and fur
You never deserved any credit you little herb
    Respect is something you earn
A lesson that can only be learned if you get close enough to get burned
It’s the criticism endured by all your friends and family until it’s finally your turn
So grab the microphone and kill it
    Make the people feel it
Spit it like you believe in it or just turn around and leave it
    Fuck fame
    Fuck the industry
    And fuck you
You think you’re the shit but I’m here to flush you
    [Chorus]
Cause you could feel it deep inside
Everything you were told since 5 years old was a lie
They don’t care if you die
This is why I don't feel ashamed
As I light me a match
This culture could burn in flames
    Y'all gonna know my name
And all I'ma do is laugh
    As it turns into ash
The death of the Golden Calf
    Isn’t it sad
    You've been following a lie
    Sucka
    You've been worshipping a lie...
