    Your channel has potential to become bigger, and I’m subscribing because of it. I’m no psychic (and I don’t believe in that) but I can just see this channel grow if you put your effort and quality on it. I still remember subscribing to other channels that barely had about less than 100 subs years ago; and I subscribed to them because I had a feeling they were going to grow, which they did. Now some of them have literally tens of thousands and some even hundreds of thousands of subscribers.

      Wow, honestly thank you so much! That means alot & is very motivating to hear! i def do the same with random channels I find and love supporting the smaller diy operations and seeing where they go, so cool again thank you

    Hey, cool vid man. A few questions, did you have better success with the VGA adaptor with or without the power supply? Did you need to configure anything for it to work?

      I would say honestly they worked exactly the same for me, it was really which monitor needed which since one already had an output plug and the other needed an input👍 also the only thing I had to configure was setting the output resolution to a 4:3 DMT setting so the monitor would see it but that's it

    I wanna use my monitor too, the thing is can I use DVI or VGA but will I be able to listen to sounds or will I need to do something? Thanks. Great video.

      You'd have to use some external speakers I plug mine in through the 3.5 jack and you can set the audio to output through there in the audio options of retropie. Thanks!

      @gxvault4166 ahh that I'm not too sure about unfortunately, the hdmi to vga should carry audio too I would think but it's not something I've tried

    This is exactly the same method I use...but something feels off about it. I can't quite put my finger on it

      Hmm very interesting! I'm curious about some of the vga hats or add on boards for the Pi now, wondering if they offer a more authentic experience 🤔

    how to set step by step?

    • @videothumbtv
      @videothumbtv  2 года назад

      For this setup it was as easy as using the standard hdmi out plugged into a vga adapter, two kinds depending if your monitor accepts input or already has an output cable in the description, worked for me. Set my resolution beforehand to 640x 480 DMT in raspiconfig display options over standard hdmi connection to a TV then shut down, plugged in the monitor via adapter and both monitors got display on boot at 640×480. I'm sure depending on what you're using you could try other resolutions also. DMT mode is for monitor timings. Hope that helps!
