I think there are 2 reasons why SM's songs have the best bridges in Kpop: 1. They have the best vocalists in Kpop who were trained to sing their hearts out with perfect techniques: Taeyeon, Tiffany, Krystal, Luna, Baekhyun, Chen, D.O, Taemin, Jonghyun, Wendy, Seulgi, Joy, Doyoung, Taeil, Renjun, Haechan, etc. The other members in the groups are also able to do harmonization or ad-libs to support the vocalists. 2. They have the most open-minded and innovative producers, who are not afraid to experiment with the new sounds and make the weirdest yet most iconic songs you have ever heard.
vocalists under SM are just wow. the golden trio of Super Junior (Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung) for example. My fave is of course Jonghyun, but Onew with his character voice is also unique.
Yes, that's very true. SM is the only agency in South Korea that still holds tightly to what it means to be a group vocal. In the 3rd generation, what I think I still consider as a vocal group is only EXO, Red Velvet, Mamamoo, and NCT.
