I was one of the playtesters of this game (way back in the pre-covid times) and it’s great to see someone appreciating the game for what it is, and not marking it down for what it isn’t. I really like it, I think it gives a whole heap to think about and a lot of different strategies to try in a small box and a quick playtime. Great stuff Matthew
How did I miss this review when I was doing insane research in every roll and write game there is? This game sounds fantastic - the HEAVIEST roll and write game you know of? (Or knew of 2 years ago…) I just ordered this and look forward to playing! Thanks for all your great videos. You have introduced me to some great games.
Ancient Rome was my favourite study area in ancient history. Oh, and ancient Egypt. Hmm... maybe I should actually say that ancient Egypt was my favourite study area of history (because also ancient Greece)... but this sounds interesting
It's one of my favorites of all time - and I wouldn't have been interested in it at all if it used huge stacks of polyomino tiles and resource tokens, because I hate bloated boxes of impossible-to-sort nonsense. Using just markers instead makes everything so much smoother and more satisfying to play. More euros should get this treatment imo. Or more roll and writes should be this heavy. Depends on which way you look at it, lol.
Loved this review. I’ll have to sub! I’ve been helping out small creators by developing premium intros and end cards that can increase your watch time, I emailed you about it! Looking forward to your reply!
hey, some friendly advice. don't name your videos "all about X" because nobody has any idea what the video is actually about. Is it how to play? a review? a playthrough? also, please put in a description of the video and not your 25 social media links. links are useless if people don't consume your content.

The best Roll and Write and I have played. To be fair I am only so-so on most, but I really like this one.

Bought it, loved it, rule book was a bit murky in some areas.
