I have a 97' l32 at work but the guide bushing key for locating the keyway is all worn down. I cant find any information on how to replace or make a replacement. How would I yo about replacing the key?

Howdy! As of now I do not believe there is any other simulator than CAM software. I prefer ESPRIT

But why doesn’t anybody have stars they smoke tsungami, no mid program editor, or solo head mode for sketchy setups, and Citizen terrible control. Fanuc ftw, again no midprogram editing, and Tornos don’t get me started. Talk about a burr nightmare with the regidity on nasty material. Swiss should run inconel lights out if it’s setup properly.

Setting the bar tension on these machines are so annoying

@@jakeb8838 It is a fine line sometimes between having the right bushing tension and having a bar that looks like spaghetti behind the guide bushing. What machine are you setting up?
Are you running metal or plastic? Do you use ground stock?
What I usually do to avoid too many head aches is let the part dictate how much I mess with the tension. If you have to hold .0001 or .0002 then it becomes a much bigger issue than if you have .001 or .002. The method I use is to have the bushing just tight enough to slightly spin the bushing when I turn rotate the bar buy hand with the headstock unclamped. This method only really works with larger material diameters. If you are doing 1/8 or less diameter material it becomes a real pain. At that point I just set it as best I can and run a part. If the part is round, then mission accomplished. If not, it is time to SLIGHTLY tighten the bushing and try again. I find it better to start loose and tighten rather then start tight and loosen.

@@jakeb8838 set it by activating the main collet after pushing bar stock thru the guide bushing and spinning the main collet by hand. if it spins kinda freely in the guide bushing youre set, tighten it up and leave it like that
