Japanese metal is on an incredible roll, especially the women, who are kicking ass on an epic scale. Founded in 2011, Bridear are one of the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands. They have undergone a few lineup changes, and have experimented with various styles, but they always come back to their foundation of hard-driving metal-inflected rock. They have the quintessential twin-lead attack and technical rhythm section. Here is the original lineup:

In 2019, Kai left to start a family, Misa left to pursue her own musical vision, Mitsuru soon followed, and they had to bebuild. Amazingly, they did so without any loss in quality, finding Misaki and Ayumi on Guitar, and Natsumi, formerly of Telecide, to take over on drums (after a brief trial with another drummer).

I saw them live in London just after this lineup came together, and they were explosive, playing mostly stuff from the original lineup. They have experimented with a variety of styles, dabbling in progressive and pop, but they still come back to their metal roots.
In “Brave New World Revisited” (ruclips.net/video/_6-OXcyMkYI/видео.html) they’ve got a masterpiece. It’s also a tour-de-force for their brilliant young guitarist Ayumi, who has also taken on a lot of the writing for the band.
In early 2022, Misaki, who suffers from severe stage fright, left the band for health reasons, and they scrambled to find a new co-lead guitarist. They have been joined by Moe, and their first release with her on board showcases some great dual shredding between her and Ayumi.

Bridear are pretty good so the lack of good quality lives is unfortunate.
A quick note. As you guys like to do live performances, there are a few bands that I expect are on your list but that don't have many high quality live videos. So here are some lives that are good for some of the bands that do not have many lives, or where there are good lives and some bad lives as well.

Fate Gear - Megabullets
They have very few lives performances. The sound is not great, but good enough and the performance is very fun!
The video is time stamped to start on a song with a good performance as the video is a whole show. You would need to just end the reaction when the song finishes before it goes into the next one. The song Megabullets starts at 16:31 in the video.

Fate Gear con su estilo steampunk sería una buena reacción. Posible la canción Headless Goddess.
Bridear es tremenda banda infravalorada, quitando a natsumi que es de mis bateristas favoritas de Japón la banda no suele destacar por el virtuosismo pero es una banda bien cohesionada y a pesar de haber tenido varios cambios de integrantes quitando a la bajista y la vocalista la banda ha sido capaz de entregar buena música.
En cuanto al estilo tienen algo de trash, heavy,hard rock y power metal pero no es su género predominante
Mis canciones favoritas son: Ghoul, bloody bride,Ignite, Scream,Daybreak, Light in the dark y Brave new world revisited que este último es un señor temazo y altamente recomendadísimo, la mayoría de esas canciones es mejor que las escuchen del videoclip oficial que el en vivo,
la banda no suele subir vídeos en vivo con post producción, casi que lo suben tal cual sin retoques, tiene sus pros y sus contras por un lado se agradece la naturalidad y por otro lado se pierden detalles
Es una banda que nos ha gustado bastante. La próxima reacción de ellas será con un videoclip oficial. Tomamos nota de tus recomendaciones. Gracias.
None of these bands are very well known in Europe to a broad mass audience. That's why these bands will hardly ever be seen on the main stage at major events here in Europe. Fortunately, Germany is a country that is regularly visited by these bands. If you ever have the opportunity to see Lovebites, Band Maid, Bridear or Fate Gear in front of 400 people in small clubs, you'll realize that Bridear and Fate Gear, which are even less known here, are actually on the same level as the other two. The song material of Bridear and Fate Gear over the years can only be described as fantastic. You could cry that both bands will never have the budget to produce a great live DVD like Lovebites and Band Maid can.

PaleNeØ es una banda de hard rock/heavy metal formada en 2022.
Sus integrantes son: Yona (bajo), ほほ美 (Hohomi - Cantante), 華月 (Kadzuki - bateria de apoyo no es miembro fijo) Ayari (guitarra) & Reoto (guitarra)

Vaya, ustedes apuntaron inmediatamente a una característica de esta banda que siempre me a molestado.... la falta de calidad de sus videos en directo, lo cual es una pena porque las guitarristas Ayumi y Moe son excelentes y Natsumi es una de las mejores bateristas de Japón, su compañía disquera no parece preouparse mucho por este aspecto.
Por otro lado mayoría de sus MVs Oficiales son bastante buenos, les recomiendo "Daybreak"... que suena más a power metal y "Brave New World Revisited", sin duda su mejor canción, una pequeña joya que no tiene nada que ver con el power o el grunge, en estas dos canciones en particular aparece Misaki, antes de ser sustituida por Moe.

Si, nos ha extrañado lo de la calidad del sonido del video en directo siendo oficial, pero bueno, seguramente la siguiente vez que reaccionemos a Bridear sea un videoclip que se escuche mejor.
@@RockandReactions yo os iba a recomendar Bridear hace dias, pero cuando vi la calidad del directo, me dije "Ni de coña, se llevaran una mala impresión del grupo"
@ hemos intuido que las condiciones no eran las mejores, pero si nos ha gustado el grupo. Off the record hemos escuchado la misma canción pero de estudio y nuestras sospechas se confirmaron. Es un buen grupo y volveremos a reaccionarlo en algún momento.

No sé, a mi Bridear siempre me ha parecido un poco más flojo que otras bandas que hay por ahí, pero hay gente a las que le gusta mucho. Además le ponen un montón de esfuerzo, para lo pequeña que es la banda vienen de gira a Europa cada año, y para el disco éste que sacaron éste verano se estuvieron 2 meses en Suecia grabando.
Además es de las pocas bandas que queda en activo de la generación de bandas de heavy femenino que vino antes que la actual, que se formaron a finales de los 2000 y tuvieron su pico a principios de los 2010s, antes de que Babymetal explotase y trajese un montón de ojos a ver qué estaba pasando ahí. Si queréis echarle un vistazo a ésta generación os puedo recomendar, a ver...
- *Aldious* : Seguramente la banda que fue más famosa de ésta hornada. No están disueltas pero llevan inactivas 3 o 4 años, salvo alguna actividad aquí o allá. Siempre tuvieron problema con cantantes, que tuvieron que ir cambiando, de hecho desde que perdieron a la última en 2021, Rin, no han vuelto a poner ninguna nueva oficial. Tampoco han sustituido a su última batería que se retiró por problemas en la espalda el año pasado. Pero oficialmente siguen activas, de hecho hicieron éste finde pasado un concierto conmemorativo después de no tocar en casi dos años, trayéndose a su segunda cantante y primera batería como artistas invitados. - *Destrose* : Fundada por la guitarrista Capitana Mina, que hoy en día lidera Fate Gear, de ésta banda salieron varias bandas posteriores. Existe por ahí el rumor de que Mina tiene el carácter fuerte y Destrose explotó dos veces, dando lugar a dos bandas de los restos (la primera vez, Mary's Blood, la segunda, Lovebites). En maze vais a ver a haruna y miho con 20 años, y a otra excelente guitarrista, narumi, que luego ha tenido por ahí su propia carrera. - Light Bringer : Aquí empezó su carrera fuki, a quien habéis visto cantando en Unlucky Morpheus. En este vídeo no se oye muy bien tiene otro video del mismo concierto que oye mejor la canción es "Still Burning" y es mas cañero más power.
