Donatello has always been my favorite. He’s always down to cut up with Michelangelo but is also the brains of the operation. Secret of the Ooze is my favorite film. Has the best puppet/costume work and just an awesome turtle flick. The original film is the darker imo and a great movie as well. Secret of the Ooze just has it all! I agree 100% with your Donnie rant that’s exactly how I feel about his portrayal in the first two. He’s hilarious in both films.
I really like Secret of the Ooze, but my absolute favorite TMNT iteration is the 2003 animated series (I've heard it's actually the most comic accurate, but I've never read them). Definitely one of my favorite animated shows of all time. My favorite turtle has always been Donatello, but my favorite TMNT character is Splinter.
Picking a favourite turtle is like picking a favourite family member for me lol they all have such relatable personalities I have a little bit of each turtle in my personality and now that I’m a dad even Splinter lol
I really want a mutant mayhem 90s version. I loved the animated look & the voice actors especially Jackie Chan as splinter. I just hate that it was 2023 teenage humor. Teens in the 90s & life in the 90s was so much better. Then they had to change April & make a really strange plot with really goofy villains. Could have been #1 if they just stuck to 90s themes 90s plot 90s humor.
The first Turtles movie will always be number one for me because I experienced the hype and promotion surrounding it in real time. All the behind the scenes stuff, the articles, news segments, the T.U.R.T.L.E Power song all of it, had me obsessed as a kid. Even though I was just as hype for the sequel and enjoyed it when I got to see it, nothing hit like the first one for me.
Favorite turtle is Donatello. 2003 version specifically. They've gone overboard with the geek/nerd stereotype however in the more modern versions of him. I prefer the more serious, intelligent (still tech savvy), calm & collected Donatello.
I grew up watching the 90's live action films and they remain my favorite, simply because I have not seen any other version of the turtles. I like the practical costumes as opposed to CGI or animation. I'm sure the nostalgia aspect also adds to my enjoyment as well.
I would highly recommend some of the animated films. Hell even the new one Mutant mayhem was good. The Batman one is also great. Also the 2007 film is fantastic too.
Raphael has and always has been my favourite out of the four turtles😊 The only film I dont really enjoy is the third movie which isn't a unpopular opinion haha, top 3 would go to 1990, Mutant Mayhem and 2007. Honourable mention to TMNT vs Batman, much better than I expected! Great video Cody😁
I agree secret of the ooze is the best one! I love it from start to finish. I loved the third act when they fought in the club, from the time whichever turtle gets thrown in the club and how the crowd cheers them on and vanilla ice starts rapping. Classic and when the foot comes in and they battle them as the crowd goes wild !!! Epic! I also loved shredder in this one, he was more vicious. Hands down the best one
Raph has been my favorite turtle since I was a kid. I love the hot-head attitude and the chip on his shoulder he always has and not to mention he’s just a straight up badass as well lol. As for my favorite iteration of TMNT it’s without a doubt the 2003 series. I grew up with it so I was always gonna have a soft spot for it but it is genuinely a fantastic series. I absolutely love the tone of it, the animation, and of course the turtles. Seriously one my favorite series ever in general. Also the intro for it is absolute perfection.
I used to always want to be the leader so Leo was my favorite but now he annoys me the most & I actually lean more towards Michelangelo. I can appreciate the not so serious attitude way more now. I liked the mutant mayhem version but also the 1990 & 91 version. The Michael bay version doesn’t even remind me of ninja turtles it seems like a different species altogether like if the ninja turtles were replaced with clones.
I’m a 2000’s kid and the movie I grew up with was TMNT, so I love that one. But my all time favorite piece of media ever is the Nickelodeon animated series (2012-2017). I loved that show down, it was so good

Same. I grew up with the first two on VHS. I remember going to the video store and being amazed when I saw Turtles III on the shelf, because I never even knew it existed. We rented it that day and I just wasn’t feeling it at all. I thought it was trash. But it was worth it just to get greater enjoyment out of AVGN’s takedown of it years later.
Secret of the Ooze will always be my number one. I loved the first one but I must have seen the second one at least six times at the cinema and worn out my VHS copy as a kid. Even if it was much more comedy leaning and cheesy than the first one it was much more like the cartoon which was exactly what I wanted. And I don't care how much Vanilla Ice is mocked that song is still a banger.

I was 6 when TMNT 2007 came out, so that was my version of the turtles. It's always been my favorite, no matter how many times my mom tried to make me love the 80s cartoon. Also, Mikey is the best turtle, no matter which adaptation I'm looking at, it's always Mikey.

Michelangelo is my fav turtle, full stop. Always has been, always will be. My top 5 for turtle movies is in order from best to number 5 best is, TMNT 1990, mutant mayhem, TMNT 2 secret of the ooze, Batman vs TMNT, TMNT 2 (michael bay version). 4-10 are interchangeable, and 2 &3 could swap with how I feel at the moment, but TMNT 1990 (at least til something I like more comes out) will always be my fav, and always be the most nostalgic for me as well. For the cartoons, OG, 2003, Rise, 2012, other Nick versions are my rankings for those.

In my perception, Raphael is the most conflicted turtle with the most demons. He’s more brutal and angry in many of the previous incarnations. That makes him more interesting and magnetic to me, horror is my favourite genre so I guess I just like darker characters more.
My favorite Turtle film is definitely the 1990 film, and my favorite turtle is Raphael. Raphael is literally the embodiment of being cool. The 1990 movie is one of the best comic book films ever made in my opinion. It's faithful to the source material and it appeals to adults and children, which is what the best TMNT shows and movies do.
The best part about Stephen Amell playing Casey was when when Oliver queen said he was partial to Wild dog's mask as a nod to his TMNT character. Otherwise - 🫤

I've still never seen the 3rd movie. I loved the first one, liked the second OK, but never bothered seeing the 3rd. I remember being a kid and just reading what it was about and who the villain wa, etc, and just said "nope".

Personally I think the biggest dork representation of Donnie, is Secret of the Ooze. Because they make him look like an opposite dork from his voice to how he keep coming up with lame saying and catchphrases, I like it because it's funny but they go out they out they way to show Donnie is uncool.
My favorite one is part 2 secret of the ooze. Favorite turtle Leonardo. And I know part one was gritty and dark like the actual comics I just get more enjoyment out of part 2
I haven't seen any Turtles movies beyond TMNT 3, and i'd rank them in that order, but TMNT 3 doesn't even compare to the first 2 movies....it's awful and it was awful when i saw it as a kid. 2 is a solid sequel, but went a little too kid friendly for my taste as an adult, but it's a great movie for a kid. TMNT (1990) is legit one of my favorite films of all time, even as an adult i'm still captivated by the costume designs for the turtles and Splinter. The movie was gritty and had just the right amount of adult themes mixed with kid-friendly humor and general tone. I watched it with my nephew maybe a year ago (he's 8) and he absolutely loved it and couldn't believe it was made over 30 years ago, he was taken with how real the turtles looked.

I really enjoyed the 1st Michael Bay film. It doesn’t compare to the original 2 films though. Also, I fell asleep twice trying to watch the 2nd Bay film.
Your list is wild lol but hey it’s yours and I respect it. Everyone’s got their own preference but “DAMMMMN (raph voice)” lol secret of the ooze in my opinion always comes second to the original.
I watched Secret of the Ooze at least 20 times as a kid. So I completely understand the appeal of it. It also gave Donatello a lot of screen time which as a Donnie fan I enjoyed. My favourite Donatello incarnation though is 2003 Donnie. He was smart but still acted like a teenager. Flawed in some ways but never irritating or unlikeable. On the other scale my least favourite Donatello is Rise. He's just a horrible jerk most of the time with a superiority complex. I never had a problem with the anime style of the show so much as I am a BIG anime fan but the writing and the characterisation was just not for me and made me drop it within 10 episodes. I watched the live action abomination tv show as a kid (the one with Venus) and I was able to watch all of that. But couldn't with Rise.

The original TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES was always my absolute favorite. Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze I saw on my 12th bday with my friends and it will forever be the first movie I was excited to see that was a huge letdown for me. It just felt too kiddie for me with the silly action scenes and the Ninja Rap sequence and the two bad guy mutants were too goofy for me. I can see younger kids LOVING this one but it just felt too childish at the time.
Obviously the 1990 movie is the best. They didn't dumb it down and it was pretty close in tone to the original comic. Secret of the ooze just went to light in tone for my liking. Turtles forever is easily the best animated movie.
Say what you will about TMNT 2 and 3 but those original three were a staple during my childhood. Loved them. Always loved Raphael which is weird being the oldest of three brothers. I should like Leanardo more but for whatever reason Raphael was my guy. Something I always appreciated from the original 1990 film was how dark and gritty it looked and felt despite being kid friendly. I'll always like TMNT in some way because of those first 3 films. The abandoned subway section was a genius decision, and I loved Super Shredder at the end, and the new foot clan headquarters and initiation sequence. Also, the opening at the mini mall was damn cool to see as a kid! I

The comics I believe were alot darker. More gritty and violent. The original film had some of that in tone.

Always been a gigantic Ninja Turtle fan! Raph has always been my favorite turtle as well ! I’m very excited to see Mutant Mayhem on Wednesday.
Personally I think the biggest dork representation of Donnie, is Secret of the Ooze. Because they make him look like an opposite dork from his voice to how he keep coming up with lame saying and catchphrases, I like it because it's funny but they go out they out they way to show Donnie is uncool.

My favorite one is part 2 secret of the ooze. Favorite turtle Leonardo. And I know part one was gritty and dark like the actual comics I just get more enjoyment out of part 2

I haven't seen any Turtles movies beyond TMNT 3, and i'd rank them in that order, but TMNT 3 doesn't even compare to the first 2 movies....it's awful and it was awful when i saw it as a kid. 2 is a solid sequel, but went a little too kid friendly for my taste as an adult, but it's a great movie for a kid. TMNT (1990) is legit one of my favorite films of all time, even as an adult i'm still captivated by the costume designs for the turtles and Splinter. The movie was gritty and had just the right amount of adult themes mixed with kid-friendly humor and general tone. I watched it with my nephew maybe a year ago (he's 8) and he absolutely loved it and couldn't believe it was made over 30 years ago, he was taken with how real the turtles looked.
Secret of the Ooze only works for people who grew up with it. It’s kind of awful if you don’t have nostalgia for it.
If you don’t like 2 I don’t see how you like 1 either. What I want to see is the 1990 version using the 2023 mutant mayhem animation style.

I really enjoyed the 1st Michael Bay film. It doesn’t compare to the original 2 films though. Also, I fell asleep twice trying to watch the 2nd Bay film.
Your list is wild lol but hey it’s yours and I respect it. Everyone’s got their own preference but “DAMMMMN (raph voice)” lol secret of the ooze in my opinion always comes second to the original.

I watched Secret of the Ooze at least 20 times as a kid. So I completely understand the appeal of it. It also gave Donatello a lot of screen time which as a Donnie fan I enjoyed. My favourite Donatello incarnation though is 2003 Donnie. He was smart but still acted like a teenager. Flawed in some ways but never irritating or unlikeable. On the other scale my least favourite Donatello is Rise. He's just a horrible jerk most of the time with a superiority complex. I never had a problem with the anime style of the show so much as I am a BIG anime fan but the writing and the characterisation was just not for me and made me drop it within 10 episodes. I watched the live action abomination tv show as a kid (the one with Venus) and I was able to watch all of that. But couldn't with Rise.
Hopefully Spiderverse fans don’t attack holy 😂😂😂 but same top 4, just flip 4&3 .. and i may have the Batman joint in there.
Saw Mutant Mayhem this weekend and found it very mid. Fell asleep at one point, which I rarely do at the movies. The OG TMNT is still the GOAT.

The original TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES was always my absolute favorite. Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze I saw on my 12th bday with my friends and it will forever be the first movie I was excited to see that was a huge letdown for me. It just felt too kiddie for me with the silly action scenes and the Ninja Rap sequence and the two bad guy mutants were too goofy for me. I can see younger kids LOVING this one but it just felt too childish at the time.

Obviously the 1990 movie is the best. They didn't dumb it down and it was pretty close in tone to the original comic. Secret of the ooze just went to light in tone for my liking.
Turtles forever is easily the best animated movie.
Say what you will about TMNT 2 and 3 but those original three were a staple during my childhood. Loved them. Always loved Raphael which is weird being the oldest of three brothers. I should like Leanardo more but for whatever reason Raphael was my guy. Something I always appreciated from the original 1990 film was how dark and gritty it looked and felt despite being kid friendly. I'll always like TMNT in some way because of those first 3 films. While I slightly prefer the original film, Secret Of The Ooze is epic and nearly as good in my eyes. The abandoned subway section was a genius decision, and I loved Super Shredder at the end, and the new foot clan headquarters and initiation sequence. Also, the opening at the mini mall was damn cool to see as a kid! I
