    Hey Lily! on the credit cards - you can totally pay down the full amount. Just leave them open and every month spend just a little bit that you can pay off at the end of the months to keep them active. I've been doing that and it's helped my credit come back up (it was so bad a few years ago I got denied when I tried to open a CC)

      That’s a good idea. I used to use my credit card just to pay for gas and then I would pay it off on its due date. I don’t do that anymore but it could work. :)

    Kudos for putting it out there. Even if you dont post it for us all to see, i highly recommend throwing this all in google sheets or something. Update it monthly or quarterly and it is really encouraging to see the progress that has been made. I feel like that is when i made huge progress becasue then you sort of get completittive with yourself. I'm crushing debt girl. in 2024, I paid off $14.5k in debt. i am looking to be debt free by my bday in july. then i want to focus on fully funding emergency fund, saving for me wedding, and a house. i was a late bloomer with realizing debt just need to go so im proud of you for figuring it out much sooner in life than i have!! 💛

    Purple! Like others have said, just pay the cards off. Now that I have zero balances I just put groceries on them and use my budgeted grocery money to pay it off. My scores went out when I paid them off.

    Pay the credit cards to zero and then like the others have said just put a tank of gas once a month and the pay it off when due. This is what I do and my financial planner told me to do as well and my FICO score is in the 800’s. The more you’re hard earned money is going to debt the less you have to put to what you really want to. Girl you so totally have got this we’re here with you 😊
    My favorite color is green too.

    My fav color is probably sage green if I had to pick one😉 This is totally doable, Lily! You have an awesome plan and you’ll absolutely crush it. Freeing up the money from these payments is going to help you out so much. I know initially you said you wouldn’t share this but I’m so glad you decided to because this is going to help and encourage a lot of people. So excited to watch you do this.👏🏻

    Great job planning on tackling debt
    I too struggled with debt when I was in my 20's. After paying ot off I have managed to have limited debt as the sacrifice of paying off all the debt made me stronger.
    I know you can do this!

    So happy for you Lilly! Don’t be ashamed I still use me credit card and I still cash stuff. I just prefer to not always have cash on me. I’ve been following your channel for a while and I’ve seen you go from not really wanting to discuss your debt to making this plan now that works for you. Stay encouraged and stay disciplined. Even if you have a rough month cut your planned amounts in half. So proud of your girlie!!

    You can call Best Buy and ask for a better interest rate as a short-term solution. You can always ask creditors to lower the rate.

  • @Buttercup2025
    @Buttercup2025 36 минут назад

    Lily once you’ve paid off those smaller amount find a o% credit card and transfer your Best Buy cc balance. You usually get 12 months 0% interest. Then definitely put the BB card away and throw as much as you can each month to the 0% card. No need to go drastic. But you know yourself so do what you know will work for you. Btw my favorite is green too.

    This year I'm concentrating on major savings now all debt is gone, every magic month I used it to power pay my biggest debt total, so proud of myself! Now every magic month I reward myself with putting the whole chq. Into savings, as well as the same amount of money I used to have to pay each month for the debt. I've done a complete 180 and it is sooo exciting to see the account building instead of emptying 😅 Good good luck with your very good plan, you'll get there 💛

    Great job on the debt pay down, I’ve been coming up with ideas for my family’s debt as well.
    Just an idea for the $200 savings challenge take that money and split it within the different envelopes in your baby binder help bulk that up a little more.

    I have a care credit mastercard. My daughter needs almost 1k in dental work. Just starting my debt payoffs so not much saved. How do you get the promotional financing on care credit? Saving some interest would be great. Loved the video and purple is the best.

    • @annie4horses
      @annie4horses 14 часов назад +1

      I think as soon as you make a payment, the promo kicks in. Depending on the amount, it tells you the promo term. Ex. $500 is 6 months, $1,000 is 18 months, etc.
