He sorta has to play to get the drop on his opponents and avoid straight up fights bc he has to hit 2 headshots for the most efficient kill. And long range fights can be a real pain.
OT's are for a reason Both team are doing equal so the game gets chance dependent, Drawing is the best way to prevent a loss than depending on chances of OT. Simple example to all; if you all are so good that you all can win the game after OT, why the game went OT in the first place?
