How can we ask such question ? If one were to follow this logic then you all killed him you Muslims and also same for Palestinian now no one acts you’re all their killer then if this is the logic but no it was more people got scared and when their world still run they’ll prefer their safety. Some supported him but didn’t had the courage to go until the end as most with him but they surely did not kill him it is the dog Yazid and shimr and his soldiers who killed him ! If Shia killed him than ALL Muslim killed him sunni too by not coming in the fight at that time to help him ! Yazid had power and the people got scared to raise against his oppression and cruelty when he started to raise fear with his soldier killing people with no mercy.
Hussain (a.s) had what some 72 people with him in the end ? THE WHOLE UMMAH BETRAYED HIM !
Now regarding the word shia he said Shia of abu sufyan means the follower of Abu sufyan the word Shia means follower and it is multiple times found in Quran !
In the Quran the word is neither positive neither negative it means followers and it depends of « who » the word can then be negative or positive :
Here are the verses that contain variations of the root “ش ي ع” (Shi’a) in the Quran:
1. Surah Al-Saffat (Chapter 37), Verse 83:
Arabic: وَإِنَّ مِنْ شِيعَتِهِ لَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ
Translation: “And indeed, among his [i.e., Noah’s] followers was Abraham.”
2. Surah Al-Qasas (Chapter 28), Verse 15:
Arabic: وَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلَانِ هَٰذَا مِن شِيعَتِهِ وَهَٰذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ
Translation: “And he found therein two men fighting; this one from his followers, and that one from his enemies.”
3. Surah Al-An’am (Chapter 6), Verse 159:
Arabic: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعًا لَّسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ
Translation: “Indeed, those who have divided their religion and became sects, you, [O Muhammad], are not associated with them in anything.”
4. Surah Al-Rum (Chapter 30), Verse 31-32:
Arabic: لَّا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعًا كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ
Translation: “Do not be among those who commit shirk (associate partners with Allah) or those who divided their religion and became sects, each faction rejoicing in what it has.”
Regarding the last occurrences that portrays negative view I just want to clarify that the term has changed meaning nowadays it has been used to refer to those who follow the prophets family as if they were dividing as a « sect » but we don’t consider ourselves a « sect » we consider ourselves Muslims that follows mainly the traditions that came from his family. Considering us a sect would be also considering all dogma existing nowadays sect as the prophet said in sahih Muslim:
Narrated by Zaid bin Arqam:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Indeed, I am leaving among you, that which if you hold fast to them, you shall not be misguided after me. One of them is greater than the other: The Book of Allah, a rope extended from the sky to the earth, and my family, the People of my House (Ahl al-Bayt).”
Reference: Sahih Muslim, Book 44, Hadith 55.
Therefore following his family doesn’t make us a sect.

This guy ignored the fact that yazid ordered the executions of the Shia of Ali and exiled others you also ignored the fact that some kufans still joined imam Husseins army
During That time there were no Shia or Sonni , but who killed Imam Hussain 90% of them was from Kufa which all of them they knew whom was Imam Hussain . Real question is why they killed grandson of there Profet in a desert with cold blood?.. if anyone wants to solve this conspiracy ones in for all in your mind follow the money it will lead you to absolute truth.

@@ima8533The term Sunni never existed in early Islam. There was Shia, but there weren't Shia like the Sect Shia, they were called Shi'at Ali (Since they followed Imam Ali, as). Though some did betray him and some betrayed Imam Hussain AS.

Look, even if you were the original form of Islam, you still have four Madhabs (Hanafi, Hanbali, Shafi, Maliki), and even they are not unanimous in everything like Prayer stance, etc.
The Prophet SAW on the Ghadeer al Khum said to hold on two weighty things and you will never go astray after him, The Quran and my Ahlulbayt. So the Shia Sect is the only one that holds on to the Ahlulbayt AS!
