Tai chi provides the balance of energy flow, the calm, intention, concentration, control, coordination, inner power. It is a good cross training for other martial arts!
we do this twice a week. Finally learning the 32 steps.Still need to work on a few things here and this sort of help me out to correct the mistake that I am making.Thank you.

Wow. This is the type of thing that makes you say, Aw, man. I always was so into tai chi sword. Even 18 years ago, I knew this was so cool, but now that they got it on the Internet, I'm right there with it.
I'm was trying watch this seriously but, after the stance at 25 seconds, all I could think of was Xianghua constanly yelling "Just kidding!" I now know that I have played too much Soul Calibur. Thank you taichitsao XD
Thank you , Respect from Australia ! :) just bought an antique Tia chi sword , and was wondering about the traditional form to go with it . :) I think I've found a new hobby !!! :)
You can't go wrong with this form. It seems quite simple compared to longer or more complex forms, but to perfect its silky smoothness while wealding a full weight sword will be a tremendous achievement. Good luck and have fun with it, the sword movements linked to the open "two finger" hand are a serious challenge of coordination and timing.
ive just started tai chi chuan, it is very interesting and i am interested to see how it will benefit my tae kwon do. some day ill have to find out how to learn this sword style
i do wing chun kung fu and at my kwoon there is allso tai chi classes every saturday, iv been meaning to go but i keep forgetting, and sifu sao would you recomend cross training my kung fu with tai chi, cause iv been doing these chi gong meditations from this guy off youtube and there ammazing but i would love to lern them in better detail, so would you recomend this?
Very good and I can learn a lot from your teaching. Thank you! I would like to share with you two principals of taiji, which I belive you may want to improve on: No. 9 continuous movements without interruption; No. 10 Look for the gracefulness within the movements. Regards.
I tried a time whit inproved moves, whit and wood sword in the left hand, pulling my energy in my hand, then in a second when i felt like a wave of energy there,i just striked another sword in a combat, and i broke it in alot of pieces.
youd be surprised waht you can learn from a video if you have the virtue of true patience and ability to have the self criticism to judge yourself fairly. There is a man in Nova Scotia who won a few competition internationally he learned everything from studying taoism and tai chi and then tai chi videos from dr Paul Lam. Whil learning from a master is always more proficcient many people dont live in a place they can take advantage of this masters wonderfull tutalage.
Chen taichi for powerful fajin strikes, silk reeling and low, powerful stances. Yang tai chi for gentle, wide stances with continuous movements. Wu tai chi for relatively high stances and smaller circular movements.
I would add that Yang style gets often overlooked as a martial art. traditional Yang style has fajin as well and whipping power, the thing is that Yang style got popular in the West practiced for better health and not so much as a martial art, people like Dr Yang (YMAA) and others however are trying to preserve Yang style as a martial art and passing on their knowledge. Yang style has powerful strikes, throws and locks, IMHO I would encourage Tai Ji enthusiasts to check check it out.
Dear Master Tsao, I have a question concerning your school. I plan to enroll this spring. I was talking with a friend of mine who doubts that one can actually learn Tai Chi through DVD's. However I disagree. What are your thoughts on this matter? And what would be a good starting point far as DVD's go? Thank you. I love your work by the way.
+SilentxWorld You can learn the moves from a DVD , and then attend a few classes to make posture correction. This will save your class time and learn a form faster. If you like Chen style, you can start with the Mini Compact Tai Chi, a good combination of Silk Reeling and basic Chen moves.
Nice Blade! ;) That Blade shining so beautiful when u make moves ;) I just buy net those Tai Chi Darn Jian (90cm blade) sword, now waiting when "Post" coming! ^_^ I will make near future vids about that sword if post ever giving into me that sword :D
I have never received any martial art training but I still find a weird kind of peace and balance in just letting everything go and surrender my body to my mind... ill often play some asian music in the background when doing this... Weirdly the moves I do often come out like forms of Tai Chi... I have also found myself able to parry moves done by my cousin (who have trained martial arts for many years)... its a bit weird to be honest
Very good demo for help to learn, like accademic, otherwise the rythm have to be different for the true performance. Here too much change of speed and too much stop and change of height in stepping.
well, i have about 0 actual sword use experiance, but since your friend is using a jian( ba gua sword, tai chi, etc area of martial arts), and you have experiance using an iaito ( i assume that you learned iaido/mogito). They come from different martial schools, but with using a sword, i suppose that you could give basic sword advice. However the basic ideas in using the sword probably vary. i would suggest your friend find a school of tai chi. Only for the fact that it would be best anyway.
Yes the Han race along with the contributions of ethnic minorities have produced this civilization, on the environmental level (beautiful scenic park), on the exercise and self-improvement level, and most importantly the (inner) moral level. Even if you have a refined sword in a delicate environment, does not necessarily mean one possesses moral development; character comes through right conduct and long training. this could be a park or golf course outside of the mainland

I love the beauty and grace in this art. It's both an art and a science.
Great clarity on the breakdown of this section of the form. This will give me so much to work on. Thank you for this upload

Binrabbit, thank you for your kind comments. Practice tai chi and be well!
Hi very good Tai Chi sword thank you show
I love the Tai Chi Sword Form!!
A thing I have discovered is that practising tai chi incredibly helps your technique in other martial arts.
Judo is so much easier now =D
Wow.
This is the type of thing that makes you say,

Thanks for sharing with us. I learned this form years ago but had forgotten some of it.
It is slightly different but basically the same.

Great!!! Very good form and tecnics, obviosly is a master of the Jian sword, very good... I've to practice more!!! :)
Terrific! I enjoy your instructional videos. You are a very good teacher.
I practice this, or I thought I did. I must look like a buffalo with a sword strapped to its head, compared to this.
Wonderfull! Thnks a lot master🙏☯️🈴👊
This is awesome, I already found a sifu willing to teach me this. I like the idea of the sword being an extension of your mind.
I absolutely love this music.
Great! You are welcome!
gracias por compartir
0:26 is a really cool looking move.
Amazing! This is great form well done. Are there any other schools that use Jian besides tai chi?
thank for posting this... very very usefull...
Minus the outfit, it's pretty cool stuff. Who doesn't like precise movements?
love the ducks passing by
Master Tsao, can the jian be used as a tool to help control the influx of qi and help develop a smoothe flow of jing to circulate throughout the body?
It's really controlled and cool, But doesn't it look cooler when he moves faster ?

It is from a Traditional Chinese music collection. Not sure the name. Sorry! :-0
Whats the name of this beautiful peace of music
Hope the wheel of time series uses tai chi as a basis for the sword forms.
I just love the tai chi sword. I'm gonna use it to test for my black belt next month.
I'm new to the jian. Does the blade need to be invisible like the dao?
Thank you...
What kind of training sword is recommended: a one that slightly bends or a full rigid one (not sharp of course) ?
Maybe some day. I just came back from my Europe teaching tour - France, Spain, and Italy. You can see pictures from my website: Taichihealthways
Wow, I'm based in Madrid. Please, could you let me know when you next come to Madrid, or anywhere in Spain.
what do colors in the tai chi uniform represent?
Grazie
great thanks
?This is just a show. Is it useful in combat
Can it fight against katana or ken do or kenjutsu?
What is the name of the song playing in the background? Anyone know?
I just got my Jian Tai Chi sword. Gonna start training soon.
great to watch :) gracefull
This is beautiful. My friend just surprised me with a sword of my own! Any pointers on how best to enjoy my beautiful tool?
can i get the names of those videos off of you?

Is this master Han Jingsong?
I tried a time whit inproved moves, whit and wood sword in the left hand, pulling my energy in my hand, then in a second when i felt like a wave of energy there,i just striked another sword in a combat, and i broke it in alot of pieces.
someone please remind me what use this would have if you were in a sward fight? (for some damn reason)
I wish I could practice this in front of my monitor but my room isnt big enough! Grrr.... still awesome video.
+Acesahn Put it on your phone :)

When I hear this music, I can taste sweet and sour chicken
What is the best style of tai chi to learn?
Chen taichi for powerful fajin strikes, silk reeling and low, powerful stances. Yang tai chi for gentle, wide stances with continuous movements. Wu tai chi for relatively high stances and smaller circular movements.

killing me softly
You are right, the sword is the extension of energy flow, the sword becomes part of the body,...
@saskekun101
In most schools the colour is not important, but in most cases it's black or white or a combination of black and white.
I do have limited supply of this same type of sword "Long-quan" sword. It is $30 each plus shipping cost. You can e-mail me if you need. Jesse
I want ... but not now
Always pwactice a whot... love the siwy wabbits in the backgwound.

Yobsemag: the idea is to do the moves slowly that you are able to be connected to nature and that you can handle your body perfectly.
All the chinese martial arts swords are so flexible and thin that they bend?
These are practice swords. “Spring steel’ they are called. the real swords are very heavy , sharp, and do not bend…easily, anyway.
man i gotta practice more often to even be halfway decent as him
Harmony for each form is important. Thus sudden fast, and sudden slow style is not tai chi. Try to watch Li Deyin or Wu Amin's demo.

Nope there are no golf courses in China except on Hainan Island and the newly constructed ones near the large cities for 2008.
Not if you keep ....."forgetting".
The compression on this video is so bad the sword literally disappears every once in a while.
Looks like my college
Ok =D
