I saw this artist perform live 14 times. He was truly THE BEST. Going to see him was an event in your life that you looked forward to. New suit, shirt, tie, cuff links, everything had to be perfect. You were seeing SINATRA! I miss that. Nothing and no one today is even close to his excellence.
Pal you are so correct nothing like going to see the greatest entertainer that ever lived in every respect , can never forget every performance l have ever see , even when he forget forgot the words it was ok we loved him he could not do no wrong😂❤ I LOVE YOU MR. SINATRA
As a Brit, I only saw him twice as he only played the big London theatres. As well as his brilliance as a singer, he was actually a very good mimic. At one point in a Palladium show, he turned round to get a glass of something (maybe JD!) and said to the audience "arf a mo" in a very convincing Cockney accent. The London audiences loved Frank and so did I.
Well written, and so true! I saw him in Dallas at the Reunion Arena with Sammy Davis and Liza Manelli. I will never forget is opening song I've Got The World On A String. His musicians were the best.. His Concerts were amazing. He will always be the very best of the best.
In my opinion, Sinatra was good but Bobby Darin, it was the best of the best he was much complete as entertainment because his personality was so outgoing, very funny personality also he just to play piano and guitar and his earlier death in 1973 open the door to Sinatra monopolize the stage as king of entertainment
Totally agree. Princes Grace of Monaco introduced the Governor. Most of the audience were dressed to kill Me included. A night I will never forget. Frank held the audience in the palm of his hand. Truly wonderful.
I was lucky enough to see him live 3 times, this concert is among the most beautiful i've ever heard, thanks for being there during my life time❤❤❤forever Francis
Check out the bootleg May 7 concert. It was Frank’s most ambitious concert with half the stage Count Basie for the uptempo songs. The other half a full string orchestra for ballads. The songs are pure bootleg but..Quite the Concert..
I'm going to say something controversial here, but I hope my remarks will be understand. When all the televised shows and concerts came out on video I got them all as a big set. What a fab Xmas that was, and thereafter, but the one I've rewatched least over the years is the RFH show, introduced by Princess Grace of Monaco. I've long felt it was a bit throwaway and that Sinatra had a bit of the old ennui going on within him. He'd been performing solidly for the last thirty years and there were a couple of points in that show when he struck me as going through the motions. That, rather than changes to his voice, were what motivated his retiring, I feel. The other side of that break, he was virtually reborn as a performer, the 'christening' if you like, being the phenomenon that was the Madison Square Gardens show. Fast forward to 1992 and my then girlfriend presented me with a very, very expensive Xmas present - tickets for Frank at the Royal 'Francis' Albert Hall the coming May. I'd have to admit, my heart sank, initially. I thought to myself, it's too late in the day to see my hero. Oh, how could I have been so faint of heart! He did an incredible six shows, wonderfully supported by Cleo Laine & John Dankworth, but the word was he'd been a bit shaky on his first night. Anyway, we were booked for the very last night and when we got to Kensington there was a great buzz all about the place. It was very much a night of the keenest fans, the celebrities and the poseurs having been early in the week, though there was the Prime Minister in the front row. Anyway, as we queued outside the hall, away in the distant, I could see the flashing of blue lights which I knew straight away to be Frank's police escort, bringing him from the Savoy Hotel. I nudged my partner and said, 'look, look, it's Frank ...' and in a thrice his car turned before us heading to the stage door, and there was Frank at the window, a big smile on this face, eyes bright, and waving out like an excited kid. Come the interval, we were working our way through a bottle of Champagne as fast as we could. My partner had just gone to the loo, but shot back with a 'he's on, he's on'. Well, about a third of the house were rushing back into the hall, same as ourselves, caught out by Frank's punctuality, and it really felt like the wonderful chaos of the Main Event show, the applause and cheers almost taking the roof off the place. Then it was a sharp downbeat and the blare of Nelson Riddle's fanfare opening to 'I've Got the World on a String'. WOW!!! Just wow! What followed was just one of the greatest experiences of all my years and I was talking about it to friends, family and strangers at the bus stop for about the next two weeks! I married the girlfriend, dear reader, but while the marriage didn't last, we've remained the best of friends, and still, to this very day, we talk about the night we saw Frank!
Royal Albert Hall was 1992 actually TP, I was there that week too and your reflections on his performance are great...(edit) apologies, should say Stephen - absolutely loved your Dad's work by the way.
This was his less known 1st show at the Royal Festival Hall in November 16, 1970. Unlike his 2nd show, here you can hear "This Love Of Mine" and "Spring is Here".
Always loved this concert, perfect renditions of “I Get Along Without You” and “Spring Is Here”, he’s also much more powerful on “I Have Dreamed” than he was later that night
Never got to see Sinatra perform..before my time sadly but can’t get enough of all these live performances of the legend at work! Definitely my favourite performance of ‘I’ve got you under my skin’..magical!
That's a wonderful recording, thank you for sharing it! I just wish it could be remastered, I am not an expert, but I have the feeling that this could still be improved.
Frank was a bit off his prime at this point, but still great. I liked Bill Miller's accompaniment in a number of these tunes. Frank's greatest London video concert was in June ,1962, as part of his world tour when he was in prime form.
Frank was in better form in 1970 than he was in 1962, his voice was much more powerful and his phrasing was as marvelous as ever. His May 7 1970 concert absolutely dunks on any other recorded concert

Largely the same songs in both shows, yet so much variety in the great man's delivery. We will NEVER see his like again.
Beyond SUPERB in all respects. Voice, Phrasing, Tone, Arrangement, Improvising. Great Find !
An artist in every sense of the word. His vocal talents are and will forever be unsurpassed
Totally agree. Princes Grace of Monaco introduced the Governor. Most of the audience were dressed to kill
Me included. A night I will never forget.
Frank held the audience in the palm of his hand.
Truly wonderful.
The greatest male singer of all time.
Pavarotti thought so too
No question!
Those arrangements and this Man putting it all together will never be seen again.

This was a wonderful concert from the Chairman of the Board!
I Have Dreamed was my husband’s funeral song. For 58 years it was our song. Thank you, , this is a far superior version.

I never tire of this concert. It is better then show #2 that was released. Thanks for posting this one…👍

Great to hear is improvisation work here!
God, how I wish I could have been there. Absolutely knock out!
Grazie per questa voce senza tempo
This is truly great, thank you so much!
Happy you liked it!

Happiness mixed with nostalgia. I listen to Sinatra all the time.
Use your mentality wake up to reality: Sinatra stands alone.
There is Sinatra ... then there is everyone else.
The BEST FOREVER!!!!!
Thank you for this! The arrangement of “Something” by Lennie Hayton is truly magical; in my opinion, even better than the recorded one.
Woah, such an early version of Something! Interesting.
As always, perfection.
Hi Frankie
Thank you for uploading sir 🙏
A Voz mais linda do mundo, Sinatra é inesquecível!!❤🌟🙌👍
Thanks for these recent uploads! The recording unfortunately did the trombone solo dirty on IGYUMS. Those solos live are always thrilling!
Amazing show
pure class
The June midnight concert was also great 52:11 many celebrities sat next to Ringo Starr and his wife.
Frank was a bit off his prime at this point, but still great. I liked Bill Miller's accompaniment in a number of these tunes. Frank's greatest London video concert was in June ,1962, as part of his world tour when he was in prime form.

Va bene?
For me his best live stuff was with Basie at the Sands -a bit more jazzy -no strings
Francesco Alberto Sinatra… Frank Sinatra
Ok, let’s admit it, Francis was/is God.
1st show in my opinion is better than televised show we got 🫢
