    at 33:40 when he says "think he dies right?" you know the ASol will die because of the e mark change on top of the enemy to more black and sliced. For those who don't know.

    I don't play Yone on principle. In fact, I usually punish people for blinding Yone by busting out the Cassiopeia pick. Since they are locked facing my direction during the Q3 dash, they end up stunned by my ult and I melt their health and LP. One risky play I did was being low health under my own tower to bait out their ult. I flashed and stunned them and took the kill. Was it worth the flash? probably not. But it's about sending a message (and having more gold to buy a Shok Seal(TM) ).

  • @theWebWizrd
    @theWebWizrd 7 месяцев назад +1

    Well played! Very good 1v9 game with a lot of very relatable macro problems... I really enjoyed this one. You touched on it a bit in this video and I'm sure you will more in further videos, but how would you have approached the midgame if you were playing a champion with a weaker sidelane and worse sidelane matchup, particularly some sort of control mage? Would you still sidelane and just accept that you often can't push to turret/look for solo kills so you will get quite a bit less gold and xp, or would you do something completely different?

    • @ShokLeague
      @ShokLeague  7 месяцев назад

      I'd probably just be pushing sidelane as far as I can safely (which may not be very far) and then just coming to group with my team or farm some camps if my champ is able to

  • @BetterBirdMan
    @BetterBirdMan 7 месяцев назад +1

    The swords above the enemy champs get slashed through when snapping back in yone’s e. Same idea as zed ult with the marker

  • @panic_emoji3741
    @panic_emoji3741 7 месяцев назад +2

    You said that you generally want to keep the wave in the middle with melee champs. What are the benefits of that for melees?
    I can see how you wouldnt want to just shove if you arent a roaming champ because you cant harass under tower, but why is it better to keep the wave mid instead of freezing it?
    I thought maybe it would be good to force less mobile mages higher up and give yourself more room to chase? (I’m mostly wondering this from an Irelia perspective)
    Love the content btw. Amazing how instructive you are when playing challenger games. I think you’re excellent at translating gameplay into specifically helpful examples. I think thats a rare skill!

    • @boneless70
      @boneless70 7 месяцев назад +3

      I believe he said in a few videos that you prefer to keep the wave mid instead of freezing because when you freeze you take the risk of the other mid laner roaming and killing your team while you're freezing, asol is a good roamer so by putting the wave in the middle you can threaten tower plates more and see asol moving. Also another reason is that your jungle might need the mid prio. In this game, you can see sylas playing aggro in river and getting invaded alot, if shok freezed he would have a harder time moving to his jungle while making asol have an easier time moving himself as he's up in lane

    • @panic_emoji3741
      @panic_emoji3741 7 месяцев назад

      @@boneless70 Okay that makes sense, I should have reviewed the example, but I also watched a few other laning videos to help figure it out and that definitely sounds right. Appreciate the help!

    • @ShokLeague
      @ShokLeague  7 месяцев назад +2

      Boneless already gave you a great explanation but one thing I'd add is you can kinda adapt depending on the game. Like if your jungler is in base for example and your bot lane is dead, you can just hard freeze because there's no where for your lane to roam to. So if you're super aware sometimes you can get a little greedier

    I think i learn more in this series cause when you play in chall games those are less relatable cause in lower mmr the players play much more like this than in your chall games, and here we see more clearly why you're better than all the lowies instead of lesser obvious mistakes in higher elo, also would you do a tierlist for champs for reaching challenger 1st time that would be very interesting :D maybe ahri would be #1 ? jaja so curious
