      Hi Rohit,
      I saw your message yesterday but I thought I will take my time to reply to your comment. Believe me this is the Best ever Compliment received by me. As friends or family members has always inspired me to get to RUclips and vent whatever knowledge and experience that I have and share it with all. As I stayed in several parts of the world gave me this opportunity to gather knowledge and experience from many even like Pan, Matt and Todd and others at my young age. :) Primary this channel is mostly to do with "Car Detailing" as my love for cars and bikes are very high but Vac being an integral part of cleaning whether home, office or Cars so this episode continues. Soon you will see like "how to make Reusable Vacuum Bags", "Art of Cleaning Home" the Accessories that needed for effective Cleaning and WD5 a quick Review. :) All are under Post Production.

    If we use acid base floor cleaner, and there you might have used Wet cleaning option. Even high quality stainless-steel will show the corrosion after some time

    • @68works96
      @68works96  7 месяцев назад

      The common sense here says if we use any acid or basic chemicals then after use clean the container with clean water and dry the surface properly. May be for you the container is good but unfortunately mine did not for all the three I used and one replaced by the company being under warranty. So my preference is the plastic bottom works without any issues. 👌✌️

      Hi Sujanyu, Good day to you and my sincere apologies for the delay in reply.
      This is the 4th unit that had the same issue with the so called "Corrosion resistance Steel". I actually advised to my friends and family and they curse me for that :)
      I cannot showcase my workshop as these videos are intended for the home users as to how this unit works and about the quality of the product but believe me the Plastics body or what Karcher calls "Standard" are the best within that price range.
      We are using these in our regular work for over 15 years so i personally endorse the Standard or the Plastic version.
      If you have watched the other video on WD5 review and unboxing it will be more clear to you. Be rest assured you will not be unhappy with this Universal Vac from Karcher
      Let me know in case you have any further queries, I will try my best to answer them.

    Sir I bought the Karcher wd3 regular one ..it worked great for 2 months
    .but the suction is now reduced ..about 30% less - I changed the bag , filter is clean ..dont know what else to do ..any ideas ?

    • @68works96
      @68works96  2 года назад

      Hi Avik,
      Sorry for this delay in reply. Well, there are mainly four reason of reduced suction - 1. filter is clogged which you said you have cleaned thoroughly 2. The Bag being full which again you said you have replaced with a new one 3. The brush gets clogged with hair, debris of other please do check that and last but not the least the 4. is the suction tube sometime the debris get stuck inside causing issues to suction?
      In case all of these are being taken care then as your machine is under warranty, I will suggest take it to the service station to get the unit replaced.
      Hope this helps and thank you for your support to the channel.
      Have a great day ahead.

    • @68works96
      @68works96  3 года назад

      Hi Mariel, Good Day to you too. 🙏🙏
      There are couple of reasons for the load noise from the motor.
      Some remedies / tips are like:
      1. the hose of the vacuum at times gets clogged with large debris or some kind of a blockage. so it is required to clean and clear such blockage if any from the tubes and the hose.
      2. The filter is the second reason for load noise one should be clean the filter on regular interval keeping it it clean inside out is a maintenance routine for health function of the unit. In case the filter paper is tone or damaged change the filter immediately.
      3. Over filled dust bag - in case you dust bag is full either through the dust if you are using a reusable bag or replace the bag with a new one if it is paper.
      4. last but not the least the factors that may cause load noise can be from the belt of the vacuum that is damaged or jammed could also be a reason for some added noise it may be making. The fan of the vacuum cleaner is often a missed cause. It may be dirty and can be easily cleaned using some technical tips or it could have a broken blade.
      Remember motor maintenance is not for all to do in case your understanding with electricals and the equipment is less I advice go for technical assistance.
      But the above 3 are home remedy for you to follow and check if the issue resolves.
      do let me know if the tips was helpful or in case you require any further assistance.
      thank you again for your subscription and view.

    Sir i bought karcher Wd3 vaccum cleaner and it got delivered today but the motor heated in 2-3 minute of using . It flows warm air after 2-3 minute. Is it good or there is a problem. I bought it from flipkart and there is no return option only replacement is available?

    • @68works96
      @68works96  4 года назад +2

      Hi Shivram ji, Namaskar & Good day to you.
      This is quite natural and during the initial few weeks/ run the warmth will be more compared to at a later stage. This is called "Burn In".
      This Universal Motor is new it will "burn in" and will throw something around 42-45 degree temp warm air and at a later stage this will be like about 41-42 degrees.
      So just don't worry you have 10 days Buyer Protection either from Flipkart or Amazon. So use it and keep using the unit daily. Also remember the Fan inside generates that heat in turn the air that come out from the side of the motor lid you will notice there are small perforation or holes and the blower hole alway throw the major portion of warm air, this is because of the suction mechanism.
      So just don't worry Keep our home clean, keep it Shining and have a healthy life.
      Hope I have been able to reduce your worries.
      Also like to add in apart from the 10 days protection the unit comes with a years warranty but i am sure both will not be required as these units or the motor heads are well crafted in terms of Quality and Performance.
      Stay Clean, Stay Safe and Stay healthy,
      warm regards, Amit

      @@littlethings7527 Dear Ahasana ji, Namaskar and Good Day to you. My apologies for this delay in reply.
      If you ask my advice it is a big "NO". the reason being I do have two ladies at their respective homes my Mother in-law and my Mom aged 77 and 73 respectively. Both wanted to switch over from the old Eureka Forbes (Dry some 23 years old) to Wet & Dry Vac. After i got them the units they used it for about a month or three.
      but then they complaints of too much of bending, pulling of the unit, the suction being too strong, at times very difficult to control etc. Actually with age one should always limit to that extra power and energy loss.😀
      So quickly I took a decision a year back to buy them the MI Robo Vac. this is costly about 23K but the fact is it does the floor swiping and Mopping both. Yes you have Change to Mop mode and clean unit everyday after use for the best performance which eventually is not taxing at all. Today I can say i am being blessed by them as both are happy as the unit does map your house and does the cleaning. Just have to ensure it is charged and the floor is without any obstruction.
      Does a fantastic job even under the bed, Sofa, closets etc., which is always difficult area.
      Lastly I can say this is Happiness with a cost but at the end of the day both my Mom and Mother in-law are happy, healthy and enjoying life.
      Hope this helps with your decision, if possible some day i will try make a video with these two ladies and bring it to all of you. 😀😂😉

      Hi Safrina,
      Good day to you.
      Thank you for your comments and glad to hear that you are a Karcher user.
      Any vacuum cleaner with universal motor do make noise above 78 Db but then if it is increasing with time and usage then there can be couple of reason for the same.
      1. The Air filter is dirty to be cleaned or needs to be replaced immediately with a new one.
      2. The suction float that which I explained are to be cleaned and then the filter to be fitted.
      3. The dust bag is over load that which will require a change.
      4. The suction hose if damage or has some hole or bent this will be another reason for the increased noise from the unit.
      if doing the following of the above the changes the problem get resolved then I will be very happy :) if not then i will advise you to contact the Karcher service center for further assistance or send me the photo or a video of each of the unit like the filter, motor housing, the container, hose etc i will then will be further advice you the needful.
      Hope this helps resolve your issue.

    • @68works96
      @68works96  3 года назад +2

      Hi Manish ji, Good day to you.
      Never Ever remove the "Filter" while doing the Wet Suction. The filter is the protector to the motor that helps with the suction in case a small particle enters inside the motor can damage it.
      So I recommend not to REMOVE the FILTER at anytime.
      Also buy an extra Filter this will ensure that if you have done WET Suction but still require to DRY Suction then you have the immediate option to replace the Wet FLITER with a DRY one and continue with your cleaning.
      Hope I have been able to explain it to you.

Use the Filter always for Wet And Dry both and for the Dry to use the Paper Dust bag I am sure the noise level may reduce a little but not much. Actually as the fan rotates close to a speed of 20000 RPM inside or may be more so this creates that noise. The matter of fact when My wife is angry on me and is schoulding me then be sure I switch on the Vacuum Cleaner and start cleaning :) :) :) :) :).

      Hello Biswajit da,
      Namaskar.
      Karcher Premium is BIG NO!!! buy the Standard version whether WD3/4/5/6. I have already given the caution WHY.
      I have no American Micron with me so it won't be appropriate for me to comment and i even don't do that :) so I won't be able to advice which will be better.
      According to me all the products are good as I don't endorse any product now if you ask me why do I use Karcher - well then I would say German Engineering, product quality, Sturdy performance and as we have few numbers of Karcher machines for variety of job.
      Also one thing to mention when you buy and while selecting models, compare a 17 liter unit to 17 liter but not a 21 Liter as the container size matter to the Vacuuming function apart from the motor and the suction of the unit. larger the container the higher will the the Wattage of the motor to consume more power and rise the electricity bill. Then check the Kpa or air Watt - suction capability so this way you will be able to select the best for yourself.
      In case of any further details or clarifications please feel free to let me know.

    Sir, can you tell me difference between WD 3 and WD 5. WD 5 has filter cleaning system so is it worth it?

    • @68works96
      @68works96  4 года назад +2

      Hello Mam,
      At the outset thank you for watching my video. now to your clarifications ... WD5 is a fantastic machine with a suction power of 240 Air Watt. The self cleaning filter is by itself an added feature in that unit. It is quite obvious that a 1100 Watt machine will consume more power but that means better suction with a larger container of 25 Liters. It is a high duty domestic unit that is a work horse you can run the unit well over 6 to 8 if required but not continuous i mean. For the health of the unit run the unit for 15 to 20 mins give a break of 5 mins and continue the operations. Due to the large container when doing wet suction for a area of 4000 sq say with 20-21 liters of water this machine tackles with no hassle. This unit have a extra power supply point which if required can be used - say unit connected with a Drill, or a planner or a sander etc basically does a dual job of suction as well providing power to another tool. We do have WD5 which is now over 5 years used over 12-15 hrs a day but no complains.
      So if the budget permit please go ahead and get the Standard Model I think the price is close to 13.6K in Amazon.
      Hope this helps. Thank you again.
      Best regards, Amit

    Hi Sir. Can you please help me what is the interval of changing the filter? How do we know when to change the filter?

    • @68works96
      @68works96  4 года назад +3

      Dear Akshay,
      As this happens to be a very good question and for the benefit of all who reads through the comments, I thought of putting what we discussed today over phone regarding the frequency of the filter change.
      A. These units have paper filter and for long life of these filters, it is always recommended to use the Dust Bag instead of doing bagless cleaning. This limits the dust getting embedded on the filter surface and this ensure much longer life of the Filter.
      B. The filter being made from paper the best is to use a kind of soft paint brush say 2 inches in width and generously but carefully dust it in case you have embedded dust on the surface outside or inside the surface. Then use running tap water to get rid of the rest. Do remember do not be harsh on the filter while cleaning or do not put the filter under fast tap water or press the filter or the surface unnecessarily. Sometimes slight tap to the filter on the ground to get rid of the dust also works. Also, worth mentioning that use of any abrasive chemical or cleaning substance is a big NO.
      “A CLEAN filter ensures that the suction is always at its best and will ensure you to enjoy good performance of the unit all the time”.
      D. After cleaning the Filter, let them to be kept in a safe place to completely DRY to touch and feel. Do NOT use the wet filter during the drying process unless you want to use it for the purpose of WET suction.
      E. As always, I recommend that you should have two filters for your operation say if one filter goes WET then one can use the Dry one for DRY suction with a quick change of the same, if required.
      F. Do remember if the Filter is damaged or the paper is torn, or the filter is deformed after cleaning or looks filthy even after thorough cleaning it is high time that you change your filter and use a New one.
      Also, worth mentioning as I told you over the phone that during the cleaning and changing of the filters do take proper care of Safety, Health and Environment and Quality of life (SHEQ). As these are the dirtiest portion of the unit that carries dust, microorganism, bacteria, virus and what not. So, wear a glove during the change of the filters. During dusting / Cleansing do wear a mask also during the wet cleansing of the filter have the glove on. This not only ensures safety but with the use of a mask ensures your good health and regarding the environment take care of the surrounding where you are doing the cleaning process.
      Hope this helps,
      Stay Clean, Stay Safe and Stay Healthy,
      Best regards, Amit

      Wd3 is quite enough for Home cleansing but if you want little more power with larger container size in case you need do wet suction in quatity then it make sense to go for Wd5 but do remember the big the number three times is the pinch to the pocket.
      In my case our Wd5 unit are mostly used for our workshop but for home I still prefer and use Wd3 as my size of home is about 1000 sq ft and the open space after all furniture and all in place should be about 200-250 sq ft so wd3 is quite enough to do the job.

      Hello jitendra Bhai, Namaskar.
      Almost all Vac's are good but my preference and personal like is for Universal Vac's like Hoover, Milie, Dewalt Karcher etc.
      Now when it comes to bagless operations I will say try avoid that for "Dry Suction" as firstly the Filter inside gets dirty and then cleaning and replacement has to be done frequently. secondly the dust accumulated one has to throw somewhere then why not a bag inside this ensures long life of the filter and easy disposal of the dirts and own safety. According to me these are the two things that i consider and do Dry Suction with a bag installed.
      Otherwise all these are Wet and Dry machines, so while one does Wet Suction has to remove the bag and Do the job.
      "Karcher Wd3 Standard" is a good option to consider within a budget of 5500. Now with the Diwali offers you can still get a better deal please do check the online stores. I have given a link just for your convenience. www.amazon.in/Karcher-WD-Multi-Purpose-Vacuum-Cleaner/dp/B00JBNZPFM/ref=sr_1_3_mod_primary_lightning_deal?crid=1YT21K6YG1IR3&dchild=1&keywords=karcher+wd3+vacuum+cleaner&qid=1605077486&sbo=Tc8eqSFhUl4VwMzbE4fw%2Fw%3D%3D&smid=A3760CYE8X7MXJ&sprefix=karcher%2Caps%2C374&sr=8-3
      Please also do remember I don't endorse any machine / company or product it is always your choice as it's your money. so the above link is just for reference as I feel Karcher has a good performance and life.

      I am Karcher user now over 15 years since my days in abroad. In India since introduction of Metro Cash and Carry or with Amazon deliveries since 2014, I have faced no such issue of broken parts or damaged products.
      However, in both the cases the buyers are either ways protected if the unit is defective so nothing to worry.
      Yes, go for the Standard version that's much better the steel container is for show according to me, above all poor in quality and this is my fourth unit that had this issue of rust so now in last 8 months I have suggested all to go for the Standard version. You are absolutely correct that these are PVC material but the quality is good we sometimes do chemical suction even but then there is no issues at all.

      Hi MahanXYZ,
      Why use Dust bag and Filter?
      according to me is more of a common sense but anyways. Use of Dust Bag and filter is healthy and safe in many ways.
      that's the reason why each of the vac's have it in them and recommended by the manufacturer. Now even HEPA has been introduced!!!
      1. The filter arrest the dust, pollen and other micro organism and restricts it from getting reintroduced from the blower throw hole.
      2. Odorization is one very issue for any vacuum cleaner this is taken take care by the filter.
      3. Dust if collected in Bag as this is a added measure to protect yourself from harmful micro organism as these actually capture most of them below 2 micro.
      4. disposal of dirt it easier when a dust bag is used and you don't pollute others and the environment. also from the SHEQ aspect you stand out to be responsible.
      5. the life of the filter increase with complete protection to the motor.
      6. Without a dust bag the filter has to be changed frequently that added to the cost which is like 10 filter = to cost of a new vac.
      6. For any wet Vac Filters ON is recommended. filter cost 10 times less than the unit but eventually if the motor is damaged then what the use.
      the above few are to enlighten you a little. :) keep watching and subscribe to the channel I am sure you will learn more.
      Also like to know from you, which manufacturer did you come across who says not to use the filter during WET Vac???
      As we got a daily usage of over 4-5 hrs at home and over 12-14 at workshop so the care of the equipment is necessary for us. we don't count years but i would say i got my own first Karcher in Germany way back in 1997. :) still up and running @ my workshop.
      but at the end of the day the choice is yours as it your health, your family and your money.

      @@68works96 Maybe you misunderstood the comment. I recommend not using a filter when in wet use. That is common sense. The filter is essential when using it to collect dust and other dry waste. Without a filter, it will collect on one side and blow from the other. Would be hilarious. But when collecting liquid waste, the filter usually gets damaged or develops fungs if it gets wet. That is again common sense. In my opinion, the dust bag is a useless accessory. My Karcher VC is now 5 years old and never had a single issue with it. Zero maintenance. I just do two things differently. I do not use a paper bag, rather clean up the container nicely. A little more work but saves the cost of dust bag and avoids wasting paper. Good for the environment. Secondly, I always remove filters when in wet use. That saves the filter from damage. Again a little more work. But with these two things I have been able to avoid any maintenance work. 5 years and zero maintenance with quite an extensive home use. I am also an engineer so tweaking products is a usual thing for me. My methods work or I learn from the trials.

      may be as I said common sense that really hurt your feeling & sentiment but believe me my intention was not that at all but by common sense i meant after one does the wet suction then should take the filter out clean it and dry it under normal temp again common sense. :) this avoids mold formation and other nonsense like odour that you mentioned. from your answer it seems you don't take proper care of the unit but you see as you said you are an Engineer i would have expected better from you.
      Anyways I don't want to WIN over anybodies logic, arguments or engineering as I believe it does not require to be an engineer to understand basic and common sense all does have in them in varied proportion. So karcher is a better option if not the best, to go for in India, these have a lifespan of 5-8 years depending on the usage what I call "Paise Washul" and a value for money product. Karcher has Pros and Cons which as a user I keep highlighting.
      In case you require the brands that I mentioned let me know will send you the dealers link in US and UK you can do a direct buy from them.
      Hope this helps.
      warm regards, Amit
